Welcome to Moonlight Peaks, where denizens of the night live their lives and run their business in an adorable, spooky town. In this farming sim, players take up the mantle of Dracula’s offspring, who has thrown the expectations of their famous father to the floor in an attempt to discover who they truly want to be. Moonlight Peaks has all the staples of a standard farming simulation game, but with some solid twists and turns that will keep you on your toes. However, changes to the standard farming formula may catch you off guard. That is where this guide is designed to come in handy.
Moonlight Peaks has a slew of features, challenges, quests, and secrets to discover. Players will need to get to know the townsfolk to progress the story and unlock new tools, crafting recipes, and buildings. The social game is surprisingly important, and the story that runs through the town is integrated into most of the core mechanics.

What Platforms is Moonlight Peaks Available For?
Moonlight Peaks will debut on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PC via Steam, and the Google Play Games store. The game was released on July 7, 2026. At this time, there is no confirmation on whether or when it will be available for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
We reviewed Moonlight Peaks on the Nintendo Switch 2 and found it ran exceptionally well on the portable console. Controller mapping is solid and well-organized.
Is Moonlight Peaks LGBTQAI+ Friendly?
Yes, Moonlight Peaks is LGBTQAI+ friendly! The game offers an inclusive character creator, queer romances, and characters with queer themes and stories. All romanceable characters can be dated regardless of the player character’s identity and orientation.
Moonlight Peaks has done a particularly good job with its queer content. As a member of the queer community, I felt this was one of the more authentic and truly inclusive cozy farming games we have played in a while, and it was refreshing to feel like the inclusive additions weren’t just a one-size-fits-all shoe.
What Age is Moonlight Peaks Rated For?
Moonlight Peaks is rated PEGI 12 in the UK or T for Teen by the ESRB. The teen rating is specifically due to mentions of alcohol use and the ability to craft beer and wine. The romantic plotlines also include mildly suggestive language.
Is There Romance in Moonlight Peaks?
Yes, there is romance and marriage in Moonlight Peaks. Players will be able to romance and marry from a list of characters that play major roles in the story.
However, there is no child-rearing in Moonlight Peaks, with no plan to add the feature at a later point. This was admittedly a letdown for me. I was ready to have a bundle of supernatural babies. If this is a favorite feature, it is best to know it isn’t available early on in gameplay.
Can You Have Multiple Saves in Moonlight Peaks?
Yes, you can have multiple save files for different characters. However, it is not possible to create extra save files of the same save. This means that forward progression is permanent, and there isn’t a way to save at an earlier point with a character and go back later to make different choices.
Saves happen at the end of each day when players go to sleep. At this time, there is no manual save feature.
Getting Started in Moonlight Peaks
Below are a few tips for when you first jump into the game. Unlike other farming sims, Moonlight Peaks throws a few curveballs, and they can be surprising or tricky when establishing your save. Check out the points below for some early-game help.
How to Access Your Tools in Moonlight Peaks
Players will have a full set of basic tools right from the start of the game. The only missing options are the net and fishing rod, which are unlocked by completing story quests. Your wand is also broken at the start, but will be repaired to get you started on magic in due time.
To access your tools, hit the R bumper on your controller. This will open the radial menu and allow you to select a tool.
Should You Poke Orlock or Dump Water On Him?
Right after arriving in the town of Moonlight Peaks, you will step outside your home to find a deeply hungover, older vampire sleeping on the lawn. While either option will wake Orlock, poking him is recommended over drenching him. While there is no real consequence to either action, poking him gets the better dialogue response.
Once awake, he will gift you with Blood Grape Seeds, which you will plant after speaking with Victor.
Where is Victor in Moonlight Peaks?
Victor can be found in the old building to the left of your home on the main farm map. Enter the building to encounter a cutscene where you learn that the little bat is your long-lost uncle. He has been cursed into bat form, but is willing to give you a hand as you start settling the farm.
What Are The Swirls In The Dirt?
The swirls in the dirt are digging spots. Equip your shovel and dig the spot that is glowing to get a random item. This could be Blueprints, materials, rare gems, or other important treasures. These spots respawn over time, but it is important to dig them up when they are available.
How to Sell Things in Moonlight Peaks
To sell things, you will need to register at the town hall with Brook. During the conversation, you will be gifted, Chester. He is the chest that you will do business with to earn money. Once he is assigned to you, he will come to live on the farm.
Drop anything you wish to sell in Chester’s bin, and the money will be added to your account the next morning.
Where is Town Hall in Moonlight Peaks?
The town of Moonlight Peaks is surprisingly big, and there are no minimaps or quest markers to help you find specific locations. However, you can find the Town Hall by heading right into town and continuing until you see a castle-like building at the center of town. From there, go up over the bridge and continue up until you see the two climbing staircases. Take them to the top and enter the Town Hall building.
How to Trigger Cutscenes & Heart Events in Moonlight Peaks
To find a heart event or cutscene that hasn’t yet been triggered in Moonlight Peaks, open your map and look for exclamation points or sparkling building markers. The exclamation point means that entering the area will trigger a cutscene. When there is a sparkling aura around a building’s map marker, it means that going inside will trigger a cutscene.
These markers are especially important when looking for heart event cutscenes.
How to Get More Stamina in Moonlight Peaks
Running out of stamina too soon is one of the biggest early-game hurdles in Moonlight Peaks. We haven’t found a way to permanently increase your max stamina yet. However, you can restore stamina by eating recipes that are suited to vampires. Unlike many farming sims, some foods will restore only 2-3 stamina. That’s because not all recipes are vampire-friendly. To restore your stamina, you’ll need to cook the right foods.
Early on, we’ve found that Mushroom Stew and Gazpacho Soup are the best recipes to make for restoring stamina. As you get later in the game, you’ll unlock the ability to buy the Cooking for Vampires recipe book from Mina at Caffeine & Coffins. This will give you more recipes that restore a lot of stamina.
How to Unlock the Twilight Catacombs in Moonlight Peaks
You may notice the mysterious cellar door near Viktor’s crypt early on in Moonlight Peaks. But, it’s locked!
The key to unlocking this area, the Twilight Catacombs, is museum progress. Jada will give you the key when you reach 25% collection completion. So, catch those critters and grow that 2-star produce, and you’ll see be able to explore the world below.
What The Mushroom Circles Do in Moonlight Peaks / How to Unlock Fast Travel
No doubt you’ve noticed the rings of mushrooms dotted throughout Moonlight Peaks. Rest assured, they do have a purpose. These mushroom rings will eventually unlock fast travel in the game. This won’t happen until you officially join the witch’s coven and unlock the Witch’s Wand.
Once you do, you’ll get a letter from Sabrina about a new spell she’s found to activate witch’s circles, the Wanderer’s Hex. This spell lets you turn these mushroom rings into fast travel points. To cast it, you need to stand in the mushroom ring. You can only fast travel between activated circles, and only by standing in one of them to reach the others.
