To start Persephone’s first heart event, find her any time after reaching your first heart with her. You’ll catch her mid-memory, visibly shaken, admitting she still half-believes this town might somehow lead her back to someone she lost. Jada and Winston are there too, gently reassuring her it isn’t her fault.

Memories of Pookie

The full truth comes out: Persephone’s daughter Penelope has been missing for years, and the room she’s kept untouched belonged to her. She’s connected the rumored “Skull Girl” of the forest to her lost daughter and asks you to carry Penelope’s old plushie, Pookie, out there, in case it helps a scared, possibly memory-lost girl recognize something real.

Dialogue Choices:

  • “I won’t let you down.” (“Thank you… Thank you, {Player}. You have no idea how much this means to us.”)

Reunited

This is the payoff: you find the girl known around town as Skull Girl, scared and amnesiac, convinced no one wants her looking the way she does now. Showing her Pookie is what breaks through, and the reunion between her and Persephone, mother and daughter recognizing each other after years apart, is the emotional center of this whole arc.

There’s no clever line to reach for here. Gently telling her it’s her plushie, that it used to belong to her, is what gets her there, and the rest of the scene is simply about being present for a genuinely huge moment rather than steering it. Persephone tells Penelope plainly that nothing could ever make her stop loving her, exactly as she is now.

Persephone’s assembling care packages for Jada and Winston and wants your opinion on the last few items. Mid-decision, she admits she still sometimes wonders if her family truly belongs in Moonlight Peaks, though meeting you has made that doubt easier to carry.

Caught out in a sudden storm, Persephone insists she’s enjoying the energy while very obviously not enjoying the energy, admitting her usual calming breathwork has completely abandoned her.

New Horizons

Persephone hosts a cozy married-life afternoon complete with raspberry pie and a playfully theatrical tea leaf reading (lavender or ginger, purely personal preference). Underneath the banter she tells you this is the future she once thought was impossible.
