After settling down and getting your farm in order, you will quickly find that you are going to need Copper Ore while crafting in Moonlight Peaks. This foundation material is used in numerous recipes, including the Furnace and tool upgrades. However, you won’t find it in the rocks that clutter your farm.
Moonlight Peaks hides the best ore in mines that appear around the map. The first of these that you will need to unlock is located on the beaches of the Ambrosia Estate. In this guide, we will go over how to get Copper Ore, how to craft it into Copper Bars, and how to use it in crafting recipes.
How to Find Ore in Moonlight Peaks

To mine Copper Ore, you will need to visit the Cave of Echoes on the beaches below the Ambrosia Estate. Unfortunately, when you first start playing Moonlight Peaks, this area will be inaccessible due to an ongoing feud between Fiona and Orlock.
After completing the quests “Orlock’s Wine Scheme” and “Meet the Townsfolk,” a cutscene will play when you walk into town that shows Orlock, Evan, and Mina have been locked out of their home due to a failed spell cast by Fiona. This interaction starts the quest “A Bridge Too Far.” To access the Cave of Echoes mine, you must complete “A Bridge Too Far” and reopen the Ambrosia Estate.
How to Complete “A Bridge Too Far”
The premise for this quest is straightforward. Orlock believes that Fiona has hexed the bridge connecting the Ambrosia Estate to town out of spite. However, it turns out that the two had a fight where Orlock said something rude. After interacting with Orlock and paying his tab at The Broken Lamp, he agrees to apologize. The tab is 299G.
The next day, Mina will visit you and repay the money you laid down for Orlock, and invite you to Fiona’s home. Here, Orlock apologizes. However, Fiona reveals that she accidentally cursed the bridge with too powerful of a spell. She will ask you to recruit Noel, Luna, and Sabrina to help fix the bridge.
Speak to each of the requested magic casters and then head back to the bridge that connects the Ambrosia Estate to the town.

After a short cutscene, the curse will be lifted, and the Ambrosia Estate area will become accessible. Head to the far left corner of the beach and enter the hole in the cliffside to enter the Cave of Echoes.
How to Mine Copper Ore in Moonlight Peaks

Once inside the Cave of Echoes, Copper Ore will be everywhere. The ore looks like standard rocks, but with pieces of shiny copper protruding from the sides. Use your pickaxe tool to break the ore nodes. Occasionally, you will find pure copper deposits. These can be broken with a basic pickaxe and yield a few more ore per broken node than standard Copper Ore in rocks.
Unfortunately, stone is not dropped when breaking Copper Ore Nodes. Be sure to take the time to break regular stones as well, as refined stone is also needed for a vast majority of crafting blueprints that also require copper.
How to Get Copper Bars in Moonlight Peaks

To get Copper Bars, place x4 Copper ore and x1 Charcoal in the Furnace. These will smelt and produce Copper Bars. The furnace can produce stacks of Copper Bars if you have enough resources while setting the bars to smelt.
Once they are complete, they can be tossed into your home storage or packed up in your bag for upgrades at the Howling Hammer in town
After obtaining Copper Bars, the most important thing to do is to improve your tools immediately. Upgrading the Pickaxe will make it possible to remove large rocks from around the farm and break Iron Ore nodes.
While Copper Ore will quickly be replaced by stronger metals, it is a crucial first step in leveling tools and crafting benches in Moonlight Peaks, and you will want to get it as soon as possible once you start exploring the town.
