After months of waiting, Blizzard has finally revealed details on the brand new class coming in Diablo IV‘s first expansion, The Spiritborn.
The new class will give players a unique way to vanquish the horrors of Sanctuary with its distinct style and gameplay, along with all the new content and changes coming in the Vessel of Hatred expansion.
Spiritborn Will Be the Fastest Class in Diablo IV, Utilizing Speed and Spirit Guardians

Revealed in a Diablo livestream on July 18th, the Spiritborn will be the new class joining the Diablo IV roster, bringing a brand new flavor to the ARPG for players to experience alongside Vessel of Hatred‘s new story and content.
The Spiritborn are native to Nahantu, the jungles players will explore in Vessels of Hatred, and are inspired by martial arts and nature. These spiritual fighters commune with spirit guardians, which aid them in battle in a variety of ways, such as supporting them and damaging enemies.
As for the gameplay, the class will be the fastest in the game upon release, utilizing dexterity and light, minimal armor in order to aid their speedy gameplay and combat style.
They use a resource called Vigor, which is earned during combat, that can summon the spirits for aid, mixing and matching them for different playstyles. These guardians include the Jaguar for speed and AoE, the Gorilla for defensives, the Eagle for precision and ranged damage, and the Centipede for poison, crowd control, and leeching. This along with new keywords and the Spirithall class mechanic, allows some mish-mashing of class elements for truly unique blends and gameplay.

They will also use two new weapon types, the Glaive and Quarter Staff, as well as get several Legendary Aspects and Uniques, much like the other classes, which enhance and alter their abilities.
This reveal is the latest in a rather rapid release cadence for the Diablo universe, with Diablo Immortal also seeing several updates and additions recently, such as the Shadow of the Frozen Throne event, and the Writhing Abyss update. We can also expect to see more on the expansion leading up to its October 8th release date.
