Diablo IV Vessel of Hatred Release Date & Expansion Details Revealed
Fans can now enjoy the release date trailer for the Vessel of Hatred DLC, which will be released on October 8, 2024.
The trailer gives us a first look at the expansion, which will add many new features to the game for new and returning fans alike.
We’re getting a brand new class, the Spiritborn, who have the power to channel mystical energies. They hale from the expansion’s new jungle region, Nahantu, which will bring new dungeons, strongholds, and more to Diablo IV.
Along with these new additions, Vessel of Hatred will bring more to the story. The expansion picks up where the events of the base game left off, telling the next part of your fight to save Neyrelle. This quest brings you deep into the new jungle region, where you will encounter new evils and difficult choices.
The upcoming DLC will add game updates as well, with new class skills, legendary glyphs, and more to add more ways to personalize your character and your gameplay experience.
You’ll also gain the ability to recruit Mercenaries to join you, helping in combat and leveling up to become stronger as you do. Prefer the company of real-life friends? Vessel of Hatred will also introduce a new co-op PvE mode where you can tackle bosses in multi-level dungeons alongside your friends.
Pre-Order Editions & Bonuses for Vessel of Hatred

Though there’s still some time to wait before you can fight your way through the jungles of Nahantu on October 8, you can pre-order the expansion right now. You’ll need to have the base game for Diablo IV before you can play the expansion.
There are three options for Vessel of Hatred digital pre-purchase, with perks for each level:
- The Standard Edition costs $39.99 USD and gets you Alkor, the snow leopard pet, as well as a legendary Mother’s Lament Gem in Diablo Immortal.
- The Deluxe Edition will be $59.99 and include the perks from the Standard Edition, as well as Hratli the canine pet, the Nahantu War-cat Mount, and a Premium Seasonal Battle Pass for Diablo IV.
- Diehard fans can opt in for the Ultimate Edition, which costs $89.99. This includes all aforementioned pre-purchase bonuses, as well as a Nahantu Unearthed Armor Bundle, Natalya the tiger pet, 3,000 Platinum, the Wings of the Faith Cosmetic, and a Nahantu-themed town portal.
