Magical Delicacy’s First Update Brings Exciting Fixes & Improvements

Since its release on July 16, 2024, Magical Delicacy has charmed the cozy gaming community. This witchy platformer-meets-cooking game has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, and for good reason – it’s a magical pixelated delight.

That’s not to say every new game couldn’t use a few balance tweaks here and there, and many games go through quite a few updates to improve gameplay. Now, Magical Delicacy has its first QoL update!

Magical Delicacy Gets First Minor Balance & Quality of Life Update

Developer @sKaule announced the game’s first small update, with fixes and Quality of Life improvements:

This initial minor update is available now, July 24, 2024, for Steam players and will soon come to Xbox and GamePass, as well. For a minor update, it packs in several tweaks, balance updates, and improvements, including many that players have been asking for since launch.

Among the most exciting improvements are fixes for a few missing Keepsakes that will make gameplay easier, plus a new fast travel point in a much-needed location.

The platforming element will be less difficult thanks to a slightly higher default jump and double-jump height, and those of us who don’t see well at night will struggle less thanks to increased brightness.

There are also great balance tweaks, such as a slightly larger starting inventory and larger rewards from certain orders! Item prices have also been adjusted to help players acquire necessary Keepsakes like the Gardening Gloves more easily.
