Fields of Mistria has become a farming sim staple since its early access launch in August of 2024. NPC Studio has lovingly crafted a vibrant, immersive world using excellent and thoughtful storywriting, effective farming and simulation mechanics, and adorable ’90s art direction. Now, following a new trailer that aired during the 2026 Wholsome Direct Showcase, Fields of Mistria has finally received a 1.0 release date.
Over the past two years, Fields of Mistria has released consistent and robust updates, helping it to achieve and maintain an Overwhelmingly Positive review on Steam. Despite being in early access, the simulation game has maintained a polish that has allowed it to stand out in a sea of simulation and farming releases.
The newest information, which was given during the 2026 Wholesome Direct Showcase on June 6, 2026, has confirmed heavily anticipated mechanics for the 1.0 launch, including marriage and children.
Fields of Mistria 1.0 Release Date
During the Wholsome Direct Showcase, a new trailer confirmed that the Fields of Mistria 1.0 update will be released on August 5, 2026.
The trailer also confirmed that marriage and children will be introduced during this update. After years of locking in favorite characters via their heart events, players will finally be able to tie the knot and settle down.
In addition to marriage, players will also meet Stillwell and Zorel at the Saturday market. Stillwell has already stolen our hearts with a dark, 2000s goth aesthetic that is simultaneously adorable and over the top. However, it doesn’t seem that Stillwell or Zorel will be romanceable characters upon arrival.
Fields of Mistria 1.0 Roadmap Teases Future Content
Renown Levels will now cap at 100 points, new dungeon quests and rewards will be added, and additional skill perks will be available following the 1.0 launch as well, according to the roadmap provided with the 1.0 release date announcement.
According to the roadmap, the 1.0 update will see the completion of the development team’s initial goals for Fields of Mistria. However, in the “Post 1.0 Update” section of the roadmap, they have stated that more patches and content are planned for the future. Details on these additions were not included in the announcement.
Fields of Mistria has come a long way since its original launch, and the ability to wrap the main storyline and build a family is an excellent way to wrap pre-1.0 development. Now is a great time to start a new save, build up fresh relationships, and rediscover everything the game has to offer before 1.0 drops later this summer.
