Sun Haven has claimed the hearts of many cozy gamers since it first released in March 2023. Up until now, this fantasy-meets-farming life sim has only been available to PC gamers via Steam. This left many Nintendo Switch gamers feeling the FOMO. Thankfully, that’s about to come to an end.

Just in time for the winter holiday shopping season, Sun Haven will be available in the Nintendo eShop starting on November 29, 2024. That means you can gift a copy to your favorite cozy gamer – even if that cozy gamer is you.
Sun Haven puts a fantasy spin on the farming sim genre. Players come to the town of Sun Haven, where they encounter many magical beings like witches, dragons, and more. You will, of course, farm to help support the growing village. But you’ll also uncover magical secrets and build relationships with the townsfolk. And yes, there is romance.
On the initial November 29 release date, the Nintendo Switch version will only be available in the Americas region. This includes the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Peru.
Thankfully, this limited region release isn’t forever – the team has plans to bring the game to Nintendo Switch in other regions as well. According to their Steam post about the release, Sun Haven “will be coming to Switch players worldwide over the next couple of months.”
As of now, the game will be available in the eShop only, with no physical release. The content will be the same as what’s currently available on Steam, with one exception – multiplayer will not be supported at launch, though the developers are looking into adding this feature in the future.
No doubt many gamers have been dreaming of the chance for a handheld, portable Sun Haven experience, so this is exciting news. Elsewhere in the cozy farming world, Field of Mistria has its newest update, though it does have a major glitch you might want to know about.
