Like many cozy gamers, the team at Bonus Action is very excited to dive into the new content with the November Fields of Mistria update. However, like any shiny new updates with an Early Access game, there are likely to be a few bumps in the road.
Shortly after launching the November update, the Field of Mistria devs warned players about a pretty massive glitch to watch out for that could cause you to lose hard-earned items on your farm.
** UPDATE: As of around 5:30 PM EST, this glitch has now been resolved. The developers urge players to make sure they’ve fully updated to v.0.12.1 to ensure they have the patch**
Fields of Mistria Update Accidentally Casts Vanishing Charm on Player Farms
If you’re jumping into the Fields of Mistria update, you may want to start a new save or make a copy of your saved game. Thanks to a glitch that the dev team is already working to resolve, items have been disappearing from player’s farms.
We're aware of an issue in today's update (v0.12.0) causing objects to disappear on players' farms. In the meantime, we recommend not saving over your pre-update save. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and plan to get a patch out shortly 💛 pic.twitter.com/4fjvT5gAZu

The new v.0.12.0 update went live around 3 PM EST, bringing many exciting new features to the game including mounts, more heart events, and a new festival. However, it also unintentionally brought a major error. Shortly after the update launched, the devs took to socials to warn players that objects are disappearing from players’ farms with the new update.
They suggest you avoid saving over your pre-update save until this issue is fixed. The team is working hard to get a patch out to resolve the issue and hope to have it fixed very soon. But in the meantime, you may want to wait to begin the next leg of your Fields of Mistria journey.
From player reports, it seems the missing items can be just about anything, from fences to entire chests of raw materials. In other words, the vanished items could be small potatoes or could lose you hours of hard-earned items.
As of now, it’s not clear if the lost items will be able to be restored to players once the patch has been released. So, be careful with your saves, Mistrians!
Elsewhere in the cozy sphere, Sun Haven, the fantasy farming offering, is finally coming to Nintendo Switch, and you can read all about it here!
