With The Wolf Among Us Remastered now available, Telltale Games has confirmed that players will be able to carry their choices from the updated adventure into the long-awaited The Wolf Among Us 2 when it launches in 2027.
The news comes alongside the remaster’s October 29 release, giving returning players another reason to revisit Fabletown before Bigby Wolf’s next investigation begins.
How The Wolf Among Us 2 Will Handle Your Past Decisions
According to Telltale’s official announcement, players who sign in to their Telltale Account while playing The Wolf Among Us Remastered will be able to bring their defining choices into the sequel.
That means decisions made during Bigby’s original investigation won’t necessarily stay in the past. However, Telltale hasn’t revealed which specific choices will carry over or how extensively they’ll influence the events of The Wolf Among Us 2.
There’s an important distinction for returning players, though: Telltale has only confirmed choice carryover from The Wolf Among Us Remastered, not the original 2013 release.
Fortunately, replaying the remaster won’t be necessary to establish your version of events. Players who jump straight into The Wolf Among Us 2 will have the option to select their previous decisions at the beginning of the game.
It’s a welcome addition for a series built around difficult decisions, especially considering how long fans have been waiting to see what happens next. Personally, I’m hoping to see more impactful consequences to player actions than we saw in Telltale’s The Walking Dead series.
Without spoiling anything, The Wolf Among Us provides numerous opportunities for players to define exactly what kind of lawman Bigby is, which in turn can have a profound effect on how the citizens of Fabletown perceive him. Is Bigby a fair and trustworthy guardian, or is he truly the big, bad wolf his fable makes him out to be?
The Wolf Among Us Remastered Is Available Now

The choice carryover isn’t the only reason to revisit Bigby’s first adventure.
The Wolf Among Us Remastered includes all five episodes of the original game, complete with improved visuals, lighting, animations and audio. There are also five playable deleted scenes that didn’t make it into the original release, alongside a new black-and-white Noir Mode.
Players can also explore more than 100 pieces of artwork and over an hour of developer interviews.
The remaster is available now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox One, with backward compatibility support for Xbox Series X|S. Nintendo Switch versions are planned for a later date.
The remaster normally costs $24.99, but players who already own a digital copy of the original game can get up to 50% off through Nov. 12. The discount varies by platform and requires players to purchase the remaster using the same storefront and account as the original.
The Wolf Among Us 2 is scheduled to launch in 2027, more than a decade after Bigby’s original adventure debuted in 2013.
The upcoming sequel takes place just five months after the original game’s events, with Bigby investigating another series of crimes threatening Fabletown. With familiar characters returning and new threats emerging, there’s plenty of room for past decisions to come back into play.
And this time, it seems Fabletown will remember what you did.
Still here? Good.
