After being MIA during recent showcases like the September Nintendo Direct, Witchbrook has teased upcoming news on their social media account. Players are convinced that this could finally be the release window info that has been highly anticipated since the spring of 2025.
Witchbrook has become something of an urban legend in cozy gaming over the past several years. Officially announced in 2018, the game went black for many years, fading into obscurity. Just when those following the title were certain it had been abandoned, new information rose to the surface, and as of 2025, it was confirmed that the game will supposedly release before the end of the holiday season.
Despite this, updates have been slim through the spring and summer season, and with fall now on its way in, a winter release date is looking less and less likely to those who are ready to live their best witch life in Witchbrook.
Witchbrook Teases New Info In Upcoming Newsletter
In a surprise update from the Witchbrook social media account, the developers have teased a look at the next “The Oracle” newsletter that has been rolling out with info about the game over the past several months. The last update was for “the 1st of Summer”. The post reads, “It’s almost time, students! The latest issue of The Oracle is coming hot off the press very soon.”
Fans in the comments have flooded in, pressing about a possible release date confirmation. Many have pointed out that the account doesn’t typically hype the newsletter.
The short video that dropped alongside the warning post shows a quick peek at the “front page” of the newsletter, which stamps the issue as the “20th of Summer”. The headline reads, “The Quiet Side of Summer”, and seems to offer some tidbits about the change of seasons as the young witch students prep to head back to school.
Unfortunately, there is also speculation that due to a lack of appearances at showcases, the letter won’t offer a release date in 2025, but instead a new release window for early 2026.
With a promise that the next Witchbrook newsletter will be “coming hot off the press very soon”, players shouldn’t have to wait much longer to know what is in store for the highly anticipated cozy game.
