With its release just around the corner, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 developer Focus Interactive has finally lifted the lid on its post-launch content with a new roadmap, giving players a look at what to expect from the shooter following its September release.
The action shooter will receive several major updates and season pass additions, all of which will add more content and cosmetics to the game for players to enjoy whilst purging the xenos and burning the heretic.
New Modes, Missions, and a Horde Mode Are Coming to Space Marine 2

In a community post on the Focus Community website, the devs have given players the most extensive look at the seasonal content coming to Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, which will run into 2025 across 4 seasons. All major updates, including modes and weapons, will be free for all players, while the season pass will be cosmetic only additions based on factions of Space Marines.
Starting at launch on September 9th (or 5th if you get the Gold and Ultra Editions) all players can expect a few additions in season 1, these being ultrawide monitor support, private PvE lobbies, and a sparring arena in the Battle Barge, the home base for players between missions. As for season pass players, they can expect an Ultramarines cosmetic pack to add more customization to their characters. This will also be accompanied by patches and fixes to the game.
Season 2 is set to begin in October and continue till the end of the year. This will begin the bulkier additions to the game, including a new PvE mission for the operations co-op mode, new difficulty options, the Neo-Volkite Pistol, and a new enemy. Season pass holders will also get the Dark Angels cosmetic packs, including a full armor set for the Bulwark class.

For season 3, which is expected in 2025, players can look forward to a new PvE mission, a new PvP game mode, new PvP maps, a new enemy, PvE prestige ranks, and an expansion to the Battle Barge, though no details on that entails are available yet. Season pass players will once again get more cosmetics, though what chapter these will be based on has not been revealed yet.
Season 4 is also expected in 2025, and will have a new weapon, enemy, and Horde mode, which will undoubtedly be a highly anticipated addition. Once again, season pass holders will get more chapter-themed cosmetics. Unfortunately, these have not been revealed yet.
According to this roadmap, players can now expect at least a year’s worth of updates and content to the game, with the possibility of more in the future, though this may change over time. Now, players only have a bit longer to wait before they can dive into Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will release on September 9th, and September 5th in early access for PC via Steam and Epic, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
