Life sim lovers, pixel art enthusiasts, and witchy humans alike are eager to jump into the world of Witchbrook. While the game itself has yet to confirm a release date, Chucklefish has certainly kept the hype train going. The developers have already revealed quite a few exciting tidbits. Most importantly, we’ve had a look at several of the romance options for the game.
We also have a good sense of how dating and romance will work in the witchy life sim. That means we can daydream about our lives at Witchbrook College and who we’ll romance even before the game’s release. Here’s everything we know about dating and romance options in Witchbrook so far.
How Many Romance Options Will Witchbrook Have?

In a dev blog, the team behind Witchbrook confirmed that the game will have a total of 11 romance options. There are a variety of “types” to choose from. At the time I’m writing this, we’ve had character art and basic detail reveals for 6 of the 11 total romance options. That means there are still a few yet to come.
From the sound of it, players can romance any NPC they’re interested in, regardless of gender identity and pronouns. So, who you ultimately choose to date in the game is entirely up to you.
Every Confirmed Romance Option in Witchbrook (So Far)
As of September 10th, 2026, Chucklefish has unveiled 6 of the game’s romance options. Here’s a little bit about each confirmed romance option in the game so far.
Hana
Hana Sato was the first romanceable character revealed. We don’t know much about them yet, except that they’ve got an overall positive vibe and a knack for fashion.
Eli
Next up is Eli Ivers, a supportive character who’s always in the know about news and rumors.
Cormac
If you like a misunderstood rebel, Cormac Fitzroy may well be your go-to. This gifted artist has a rebellious streak and a knack for seeing the magic in the mundane.
Pip
The go-to mechanic for everyone at Witchbrook is none other than Pip Marin. She’s always experimenting on something in her workshop.
Leif
Prefer the sensitive, plant-loving type? Allow me to introduce Leif Blomgren, a cheerful guy who loves growing herbs and using them in his magic.
Evadne
The most recent reveal is Evadne Gladwin, a dreamer whose head is often in the clouds.
How Dating and Romance Work in Witchbrook

Thanks to a recent dev blog, we have some good insight into how the dating and romance mechanics will work in Witchbrook. Players will be able to cultivate their relationships through daily interactions, gifting, and more. Each character has their own story arc, which you can progress as friends or something more. In fact, not every romance option will always be ready to take things to the next level, depending on where they’re at in their personal journey.
Players will be able to send cards to their person of interest to get things started. You can use the post office to ask someone out, define the relationship, or even break things off. There will even be different options for how your cards look when you send them to your lover-to-be.
Witchbrook will also include a dating system where you get to plan your outing. You’ll select two activities, then progress through the date with your chosen NPC. They’ll react in real time, so you’ll get a sense of how things are going. After a few dates, you’ll be able to ask your romantic interest to “go steady,” aka commit to an actual relationship.
For now, that’s all we know. Whether you’ll be able to eventually get married or just keep things at the serious relationship stage remains to be seen. But from the looks of it, this will be a robust relationship system that offers plenty of depth for each character.
Still here? Good.
