If Spirit City: Lofi Sessions fans thought the Winter Wonderland update would be the most exciting news for the game this November, they thought wrong. Along with the launch trailer for this new update full of holiday cheer, Mooncube gave players a sneak peek at what’s to come – and it’s good.
Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is a productivity game that lets players design an avatar and a comfy space for them to hang out in. You can pick from various sounscapes and lofi soundtracks to create your perfect atmosphere to cowork with your virtual companion.
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan. In fact, I’m listening to the new Tranquil Wonderland soundtrack, plus my go-to ambient sounds of typing and wind, as I write this. But the developer has another surprise in store. The trailer for the Winter Wonderland update drops in a little “one more thing…” and proceeds to introduce us to the game’s very first DLC!
New Cozy Kitchen DLC Coming To Spirit City: Lofi Sessions
That’s right, my fellow Spirit City: Lofi Sessions fans – we’re getting DLC! Players have long been asking for more areas to hang out in, and the Cozy Kitchen DLC is giving it to us!
Mooncube Games provided our first teaser look at this upcoming content in the second half of the Winter Wonderland launch trailer on YouTube.
The teaser opens with a delightful simmering pot of stew. I can only hope this is going to be one of the new ambient soundscapes we’ll get with Cozy Kitchen.
And in that pot of stew? A first look at an adorable new capybara-esque Spirit companion to meet! Apparently, its name is Capybun, and it enjoys soaking in hot soup, which frankly sounds pretty darn cozy as we head into the winter months.
In addition to these exciting updates, the Cozy Kitchen DLC will bring more comfy cozy goodness for your productivity sessions, including:
- A brand-new cozy kitchen area to hang out in and decorate
- New spirits to discover, including the aforementioned Capybun from the teaser trailer
- New kitchen experience soundscapes
- New kitchen activities for avatars to enjoy while hanging out in the cozy kitchen area
- And more!
The new expansion is coming in 2025, and players can wishlist it now on Steam. We don’t have the exact release date just yet, but hopefully, we won’t have too long to wait to settle in to some soothing kitchen sounds while we go about our workdays.
