Romance fans love a good dating sim, and the upcoming Date Everything promises to deliver a unique twist on the concept. In this game, you can date, well… everything.
You’ll get to flirt with personified versions of all sorts of things, from the lamp to the vacuum to your very own sense of existential dread. The game was originally slotted to release on October 24. However, the developers want to put in a little more love.
Date Everything Is Taking Us Out for Valentine’s Day
If you had to push your dating sim release date to 2025, could you pick a better day than Valentine’s Day? Developer SassyChapGames announced the romantic new Date Everything release date via Twitter/X.
Along with the new release date announcement, we got a new trailer. In the new video, Lead Designer Ray Chase talks us through their vision for the game and why it’s been delayed.
Basically, while the overall content is complete, the team wants more time to bring that final polish. This includes cleaning up the look of the game and squashing bugs.
Sure, it’s a little disappointing that we’ll have to wait a little longer to take our trash cans and washing machines out for a date. But we’ve all played games that weren’t quite ready to come out of the oven. It’s a good thing when the team is able to take the time they need to get things right before launch day.
So mark your calendar for February 14, 2025. That’s when you’ll be able to take it and all your other household items on a date.
Date Everything will launch on PC and consoles simultaneously. That means we’ll all be able to dive right in, no matter our preferred gaming system. The real question is – can we date those in the game, too?
