Farming is a critical element of Roots of Pacha. From feeding the town to increasing inspiration, collecting and growing seeds is a must for success. However, certain crops only populate during specific seasons, and all tamed crops come from wild seeds. To get everything, players must explore every biome and grab as many wild seeds as possible.
In addition to harvesting seeds, they will need to be tilled into dirt and then cared for as they grow. To do this, Roots of Pacha players will need a handful of tools.
In this guide, we will go over everything you need to get farming, and all the seeds that can be collected and tamed for specific food items. This includes everything for the 1.3 update that went live on 4/21/2025.

How to Get Seeds in Roots of Pacha

To grow crops in Roots of Pacha, players must harvest seeds from wild plants. Seeds for specific types of plants change with the seasons, with some only spawning in specific biomes.
Wild plants will never drop produce. The seeds of these plants have to be planted and raised to get a domesticated crop. This makes early food production a grind.
