What Platforms is Cinnabunny Available On?
Currently, Cinnabunny is available on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and the Nintendo Switch 2 via backwards compatibility. No additional platforms are planned at this time.

Do You Need a Controller to Play Cinnabunny?
On Steam, Cinnabunny offers controller support for Xbox controllers, as well as mouse and keyboard controls. Personally, I find the game works best with a controller.
While only Xbox is officially supported, other controllers will also work, but the button prompts might be a bit confusing. I tried it out with both DualSense and Nintendo Switch, and everything worked fine, once I figured out how the buttons translated from the on-screen instructions.
Cinnabunny Co-Op Support
Though this guide is written from the solo gamer perspective, Cinnabunny has a wonderful co-hop mode to let you play with a friend. The game supports local split-screen co-op as well as remote play together.
How to Learn New Recipes
The primary way to unlock new baked good types is to give the perfect gift to a local bunny. Each time you give a bun their first loved gift, they will teach you a new type of baked good. You’ll also unlock the items you need to make it, such as a sourdough starter station for sourdough or a pie tin for pies.

Gifting takes some trial and error, with some buns being less picky than others. Follow your early-game objectives to decide the right flavor for some of the easiest buns to start with, Sage and Arlo.
What to Do With the Trash Robots
If you don’t visit Rowan early on, these random bits of trash on wheels can be pretty confusing. To be able to interact with them, you need to get the net gun from this scientific bun!

This unlocks the Recycling skill, which lets you capture Recyclobots in exchange for rewards.
All Community Projects & How to Unlock Them
Open up new parts of your world, upgrade the local community, and improve your bakery with Cinnabunny Community Projects. You’ll find the list of available projects to unlock at the Post Office, located up the hill from the market, near the yoga platform.

Interact with the board to view available Community Projects & choose one to fund. Each project takes a few days to complete, and you’ll see a helpful orange cone reminding you which projects are underway.
Here is every Community Project you can fund, how much it costs, and what it’ll get you.
| Project Name | What it Does | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Cart to Woods | Unlocks the ability to travel to the Forest, where you can forage mushrooms and Easter eggs. | 500 Carrots |
| Unlock Mines | Removes the rubble blocking the Mines entrance. Here, you can mine salt, forage mushrooms, and gather materials from chests. | 500 Carrots |
| Bakery Farm Increase 1 | Increases size of farming plot, making more space to grow unrefined ingredients | 400 Carrots |
| Bakery Size Increase 1 | Increases space inside the bakery to make more room for activities! | 400 Carrots |
| Bakery Size Increase 2 | Further expands the bakery. | 2500 Carrots |
| Add Community Garden | Creates space for all buns to grow communal crops. | 500 Carrots |
| Bakery Water Mill | Adds water mill to automatically store water. | 1250 Carrots |
| Bakery Windmill | Adds windmill to autmatically turn wheat into flour. | 1250 Carrots |
| Deer Feeder | Helps Forest deer, which unlocks it as a mount. | 1000 Carrots |
| Kiteboard Equipment Near Beach | Adds kites to the beach so buns can play. | 1000 Carrots |
How to Move Your Family
Don’t forget you also need to save up carrots to bring your family members to your new home! This can also be done at the post office, but it’s separate from the Community Board.

Post 2500 carrots in the mailbox next to the Community Board so Sage can get started on building their new homes.
Best Ways to Earn Carrots
If you want to move your family to their new home, upgrade your community, and buy cool hats, you’re going to need a lot of carrots. While you might think selling your baked goods is the best way to earn cash, I don’t think that’s necessarily the case in Cinnabunny.
In my experience, you’ll earn carrots more quickly by forgaging a lot of mushrooms and selling them at Anita’s house. While it’s still good to pop the occasional baked good in the box, the return for time spent is much better for foraging mushrooms. Plus, you can only bake so many things a day, and you’ll need those baked goods to give as gifts to unlock new recipes.
All Skills & How to Upgrade Them
As any baking bun should, you’ll start out focused on baking-related skills. Each baked good type has an associated skill, and your bakes will improve in quality as you level them up. However, there are many other skills and abilities to discover. You can view your skills and current rank by clicking on the Net Gun icon on the menu.

Throughout your journey, you’ll unlock new tools and skills. Each one can be leveled up, adding even more to explore. Here is how to get each skill and what it does.
| Skill Name | What it Does | How to Get It |
|---|---|---|
| Baking – Basic Breads | Improves the quality of basic bread recipes | Bake bread recipes (you start with Flatbread by default) |
| Baking – Sweet Breads | Improves quality of sweet bread recipes | Bake sweet bread recipes (unlock by giving gifts) |
| Baking – Pastries | Improves quality of pastry recipes | Bake pastries (unlock by giving gifts) |
| Baking – Desserts | Improves the quality of dessert recipes. | Bake dessert recipes (unlock by giving gifts) |
| Foraging – Mining | Lets you gather Salt | Unlock the mines, then talk to Moose. He will give you a Pickaxe. |
| Foraging – Mushrooming | Lets you gather mushrooms to donate and sell to Anita’s museum | Visit Anita’s house for the first time (the one with the mushrooms outside it, near the big farm) |
| Foraging – Easter Egging | Lets you gather Easter eggs in the Forest. | Find Easter eggs after unlocking the Forest area. |
| Recycling | Lets you collect Recyclobots in exchange for rewards | Visit Rowan’s house for the first time (the one across the bridge with the weird stoplights) |
