The cozy productivity game is popular for coworking and relaxing vibes, and it just keeps getting better. With 2 available expansions and plenty of free updates, we’re always finding new Spirits to befriend. And now, a massive free update gives the cozy game a total overhaul.
On November 17th, Mooncube Games is putting out one of the game’s biggest free updates to date. In the lead-up to the big day, we’ve gotten our fair share of teasers and tidbits to prove just how much is packed into this patch. Not only does this update add a new Spirit and new seasonal items, but it also features a UI overhaul. Here’s everything we know about this big Spirit City update.
November 17th Spirit City: Lofi Sessions Update Gives You Even More Options to Craft Your Ideal Space
This update is part seasonal content update, part quality-of-life overhaul. If you love Spirit City, you’ll definitely want to check out what’s new when the latest patch arrives. From the teasers alone, I can’t wait to dig into everything new with this update.
First, the big highlight. Mooncube has rebuilt the game’s UI from scratch, adding a ton of new features, including text scaling, new color options, and paving the way for controller support in 2026. That means you can better customize the looks of your menu and tools, along with decorating your space.
Not only that, but this update is bringing in a new activity that will let us play with our Spirit pal by the fire. And every Spirit will have its own unique playtime animation. The ones we’ve gotten to see so far are incredibly cute, so I’m already ready to lose some time to checking out all the different Spirits.
This update will also bring a new, full-body outfit option. Naturally, that means a collection of new dresses for avatars to wear, along with the ability to change your avatar’s ear shape. We will get a handful of new backgrounds to see out the window, including a few that debuted with the All Aboard! DLC.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a new Spirit City update without a new Spirit to find! We’ll have one new slot to fill in the Spirit Dex when this update arrives. From the looks of it, this could be a rabbit-like Spirit pal, and I can’t wait to see what it looks like!
