Ever since it came out, Spirit City: Lofi Sessions has been my steady companion throughout the workweek. Naturally, that means I’m always excited when we get an update or DLC that adds new Spirit Companions to find. The latest entry in the Spirit City: Lofi Sessions universe is the new All Aboard! DLC.
This expansion adds a brand-new area for your avatar and Spirits to explore – a train! For the first time, you can leave your home and set up shop in a cozy train. This DLC is definitely focused on a new environment and new Spirits, without really any new avatar items in the mix. Even so, it’s a fun change of scenery that gives you even more options for setting up your ideal cozy coworking situation.

Out and About for the Very First Time
Much as I loved my new cozy kitchen corner in the Cozy Kitchen DLC, I was thrilled to click that new “Locations” button and actually leave the house. The All Aboard! DLC is our first non-home location, in the form of a train with an exterior and interior area.
Like anywhere else in Spirit City, you get to decorate the train any way you like. There is a good mix of decor options that let you make yourself at home, though I did feel like a few of the string lights and other items didn’t make a ton of sense for a train. Compared to what’s on offer in the base game, there aren’t as many options to customize the train, but it feels like enough in the relatively small space.
Along with the new space and new decor come some new activity options. For the most part, your avatar and Spirit Companion will partake in the usual activities, but with new animations to suit the space. But you can also sleep on the train or take photos from the observation deck, which offers some new options to mix things up.
Adorable New Spirits and Variants
Much as I love a train, the thing I always look forward to with a new DLC for Spirit City is the Spirits. This pack offers 11 new Spirits and Variants to track down, and Mooncube absolutely crushed it with the designs. I have found almost all of them already, and I am absolutely in love with the designs. Many are train or travel-themed, like the precious Aviotter who is an otter that can fly.
Like Cozy Kitchen before it, the All Aboard! DLC offers a mix of easy and tricky hints. This lets you really sink into figuring out the perfect setup to attract your new pals, bringing that gameified feeling back to life for those of us who’ve already found all of the Spirits in the base game. For me, it felt like just the right amount of totally new critters and variants to refresh my options for cozy companions in the game.

Overall, the All Aboard! DLC is a great addition to Spirit City: Lofi Sessions. The amount of new content feels right for the price, and I had a ton of fun tracking down the new Spirits. I will say, I was a little disappointed not to have any new wardrobe options for my avatar this time around. But then, I suppose the clothes she’s in are already what I’d wear to travel anyway.
In all, if you enjoy Spirit City, All Aboard! is a must-have addition. It’ll give you another space to set up in and more Spirits to find. It has brought the game back to life for me, as every new update does.
