Cozy game Spirit City: Lofi Sessions has gained a loyal fanbase since its launch. It blends a productivity app with light gaming elements, allowing you to create an avatar and comfy space all your own, then set about coworking with your virtual friend. As your in-game self completes various activities, you discover and befriend new spirits.
As much fun as finding spirits is, you eventually run out of critters to unlock – until the developers add more, that is. Spirit City just got a massive 1.4 update that includes a ton of new customization features and a few new spirits to meet.
Spirit City: Lofi Sessions 1.4 Update Gives Us a Room of Our Own
@SpiritCItyLofi posted an update trailer to Twitter/X, showing off some of the exciting new customizations, activities, and spirits.
The update, which is now available, adds a truly staggering number of ways to customize your space. There are hundreds of new items, letting you make your Spirit City workspace your own with different outdoor scenery, tables, and more. I got a little lost exploring all the new options. Best of all, you can now preview before you buy, making decorating that much more fun.
Your avatar also has a few new activities to take part in, including Gaming and Meditating. Activities are also available in a wider variety of spaces, giving you better options for mirroring your real-life work with what your in-game avatar is up to.
Also, some Spirits will get a bit more involved in activities now, even joining you with certain ones. The dev team isn’t giving hints here, so we’ll have to jump in and see what we find.
The update also adds two new spirits to find – check out your Spiritdex for hints on what activities might draw them out. There’s also some new music to accompany all that spirit hunting, with a new in-game playlist to enjoy.
Along with all the new content, the 1.4 update brings some balance fixes and quality-of-life tweaks to improve your productivity gaming experience.
Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is currently on sale for 30% off on Steam as part of the Back to School sale event from August 26-September 1.
