When you think of Reese Witherspoon, many things come to mind – her movie career, her long-running celebrity book club, and the lifestyle book she released a few years ago. However, now her name is linked to everyone’s favorite late-night drive-thru experience – Taco Bell.
Yes, you read that correctly. Reese Witherspoon’s Reese’s Book Club is hosting a Read More, Live Mas Book Club Party in collaboration with none other than fast-food Tex-Mex chain Taco Bell.
Taco Bell and Reese’s Book Club is the Iconic Pairing Readers Didn’t Know They Needed
In an unexpected cinnamon twist, Reese’s Book Club announced on Instagram that they’re celebrating the countdown to the club’s 100th book pick with a Taco Bell party.
The party will take place on May 25th at a Taco Bell location in Los Angeles. The collab celebrates Reese’s 100th celebrity book club selection and the launch of Taco Bell’s Cantina Chicken Menu.
Reese’s Book Club, founded in 2017, has become a force in the book world, even compared to Oprah’s Book Club in terms of impact. Witherspoon selects books that center on female protagonists and stories about women, often with an angle to eventually turn the picks into films through her media company, Hello Sunshine.
Throughout the years, readers have flocked to enjoy various picks and curated Gift of Reading book boxes with health and beauty items recommended by Reese herself. Now, we can add chicken tacos to the list of things to enjoy alongside a Reese’s Book Club pick.
While this pairing certainly seems unexpected, fan feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. One Bookstagrammer comments “Taco Bell and books?! This is iconic” while another says “Oh look at that it’s my two favorite brands how did y’all know?”
Bringing together Taco Bell and Reese’s Book Club is something bookish taco lovers can get behind.
Alas, the party is only for those in the Los Angeles area, but that’s not stopping you from heading to your own local Taco Bell with a book in hand for some silent reading paired with fast food.
