Moonstone Island Fans Should Get Hyped For May 21st 

As if May wasn’t chock-full of enough cozy goodness this year, the developers behind Moonstone Island are bringing players some magical new updates. The game will get a free update and DLC addition this month, offering more gameplay and features to enjoy.

Moonstone Island May Update Adds More Magic With Free DLC 

Since its release, the indie game Moonstone Island has become a favorite of the cozy gaming community. Currently, the game is available on PC via Steam, and the developers have their sights set on a Nintendo Switch for Spring 2024. But that’s not all that’s in the works for fans of the creature-collecting game.

The team behind Moonstone Island shared a series of exciting free content announcements via Twitter/X:

According to the post, players will enjoy a new free update for Moonstone Island on May 21. The post also includes a short trailer for the update, with sneak peeks at the additions as they’ll appear in gameplay.

This free update includes additional dialogue for NPCs, more inventory slots, new spirits, and several gameplay improvements like map zooming. Importantly, the update also adds naps to restore energy, which we could all use a little more of, both in-game and in real life.

In addition to this free update, Moonstone Island fans will be able to get their hands on a free DLC as well. Also set to release on May 21, the Arcane Artifacts DLC will add magical items you can use to decorate your space. These include a house and rug that are shaped like a magical hat, plus summoning circles and candelabrums to decorate your witchy new abode.

As for the third tweet in the thread? Well, that one is a bit more cryptic, but it certainly looks like a plushie version of Magic Man. This suggests that we’ll be seeing at least one Moonstone Island plush to buy soon.

If there’s one thing cozy gaming fans want, it’s plushies for their cozy space IRL and more options for making their in-game space feel like home. It looks like the May update for Moonstone Island may well deliver both.
