When diving into Moonlight Peaks, fans can expect an addictive, very goth cozy experience that is filled with interesting secrets and special mechanics. After releasing on July 7, the game has shot to the top of best cozy games lists and holds a “very positive” score on Steam out of 1,100 reviews. Thankfully, a new interview at PocketTactics with the Dev team at Little Chicken indicates that more content is on the way.
There are numerous reasons for Moonlight Peaks‘ success despite an overwhelming amount of competition in the cozy gaming genre. One of the most notable was that the game didn’t release in early access. While bugs and glitches are being addressed post-launch, all the core mechanics have been present since day one, allowing fans to experience the entire package without interruption.
This plunge into Moonlight Peaks has allowed players to connect with the story, explore in an immersive and complete way, and build a connection to the core gameplay loop – and everyone is hungry to know if there will be DLC.
Little Chicken Dev Confirms Future Plans for Moonlight Peaks
In an exclusive interview with PocketTactics, journalist Holly Alice sat down with the dev team from Little Chicken, including CEO Yannis Bolman.
The interview breaks down the development process, answers questions about big art direction choices, and includes some interesting facts about hidden easter eggs and special additions to the final game.
Near the end of the interview, Alice asked Bolman if there were “any plans for DLC, expansions, or content updates.” Bolman gave an exciting response, stating, “We have plenty of stuff we still want to add to the game. In an ideal world, we’ll be adding to Moonlight Peaks for a long time to come. It depends on how the game does as well, of course.”
Currently, Moonlight Peaks sports a robust story, a wide cast of unique characters, dozens of hidden secrets, multiple areas, and a gripping storyline. However, many have vocalized interest in more seasonal events, as well as expanded post-marriage options.
While it isn’t clear what expansions could look like at this time, knowing the team behind Moonlight Peaks intends to further expand the story is very exciting. Hopefully, more information on possible new content will be made available in the near future.
