Back in 2022, Qloud Games captured the attention of cozy gamers when they unveiled Loftia. This cozy MMO places community, friendship, and taking care of the environment at its core. Add that to adorable 3D graphics, farming sim and life sim mechanics, and a solarpunk floating island vibe, and you’ve got a recipe for a game that we all want to play ASAP. Now, four years after it was first announced and three years after a successful Kickstarter campaign, Loftia finally has a release date.
On September 20th, Qloud Games revealed that its cozy MMO launches into Early Access on November 3rd, 2026. That means we’ll finally experience the solarpunk world for ourselves before the year is up. Pre-registrations are already live on the official Loftia website, along with a helpful FAQ breaking down what to expect as we head towards the Early Access release.
Loftia Preps for November Early Access Launch With New Trailer & Pre-Registration Campaign
Most MMOs feature combat pretty heavily, often relying on difficult dungeons as the basis of their multiplayer experience. While plenty of cozy gamers like the MMO grind, we’re very much in need of more life sims and cozy games that let us take a more laid-back approach to building a gaming community. Loftia is just such a concept. It delivers a world of floating islands, where players farm, craft, explore, and decorate while helping support the environment. We’re talking scavenging for parts, then repurposing that trash into treasure, finding and saving endangered fish, and of course, sustainable farming. All while exploring a beautiful world of connected floating islands. It’s easy to see how this game racked up an impressive, eager community waiting for that launch date news.
Like many indie games these days, Loftia was funded in part by a massive crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. Those who backed the game at the Alpha Pack tier have already gotten a chance to check out the game. But the remaining backers, and the rest of the world, have been patiently waiting for Early Access. Now, we know exactly when that will begin. As revealed in the shiny new Loftia release date trailer below, PC and Mac players will be able to play the game in Early Access starting November 3rd of this year.
In Early Access, Loftia will be available for PC and Mac via Steam. It will cost $29.99 USD, with a 17% launch discount bringing it to just under $25. The in-game shop will also offer some paid cosmetics. If you pre-register, you’ll unlock special in-game rewards at launch, presumably including a few unique cosmetics for your avatar.
