Silksong’s Release Date Revealed at Gamescom
During a special announcement at Gamescom, Team Cherry wove the long-awaited truth: Hollow Knight: Silksong will come out on September 4, 2025.
No vague promises. No “soon.” A real, carved-in-stone date that fans can actually inscribe into their journals or Google Calendars. At long last, the kingdom stirred.
The reveal brought more than timing. Silksong arrives on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch, with day-one access on Game Pass.

Players will take control of Hornet, leaping through a vast new kingdom filled with hostile creatures, intricate traps, and sprawling handcrafted biomes.
Over 150 new enemies stand in the way, alongside expanded crafting, fresh quests, and fierce platforming challenges. The pace looks sharper and swifter than Hollow Knight, with Hornet’s needle and thread mechanics turning every fight into a deadly dance.
After years of shadows, fans finally glimpsed the tapestry in full. This wasn’t just Hollow Knight with new paint. It looked like a game spun larger, tougher, and richer in detail, stitched tightly to test even veteran players. Plus, 200 new enemies!
