2024 was the year of caravan games, with titles like Coffee Caravan, Caravan Sandwich, and Cozy Caravan. Thankfully for those of us who enjoy a good cozy game on the go, this trend isn’t going away any time soon. Camper Van: Make It Home was announced alongside many of these exciting caravan titles, and the first demo arrived last year. Now, the developers are ready to share exciting updates.
Camper Van: Make It Home has just launched a brand-new demo. That means gamers can check out everything that’s changed since the previous demo released. More cozy unpacking in a camper van? Yes, please. Alongside the new demo, Malapata Studio has also confirmed when we’ll get our hands on the full release.
Camper Van: Make It Home Joins Steam Next Fest with New Demo
With Steam Next Fest starting on February 24th, many games are gearing up to drop new demos. This event is an exciting time to check out upcoming games, especially in the indie space. As part of their participation, Malapata Studio has expanded the Camper Van: Make It Home demo. The new demo includes the ability to customize your van, along with retooled UI, new colors, and brand-new decor.
For anyone who enjoyed the first demo, this updated version will offer the same cozy unpacking-esque vibes, but better. I don’t know about you, but I’m loving seeing all the different colors and styles that have been added for making the van really feel your own personal home.
Along with the updated demo announcement, Malapata Studio has confirmed a 2025 release date! While the game was originally hoping to come out last year, it took a little longer to secure funding. We don’t have an exact date just yet, but it looks like we will be settling in to our personal camper vans by the end of the year.
With 88,000+ Steam Wishlists and a quick 16-hour spring to fully funded on Kickstarter, it’s clear many of you cozy gamers out there are every bit as excited about this one as we are here at Bonus Action. Now let’s jump back in with that shiny new demo while we wait.
