Another new Pokémon LEGO set could be coming this summer, according to a pair of reliable leakers. Just last month, Pokémon joined Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, and Animal Crossing in a growing list of Nintendo properties to get immortalized as official LEGO building sets.
So far, the Pokémon LEGO collection consists of popular Generation 1 creatures like Pikachu, Eevee, and the Kanto Region starter trio of Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise – the latter of which was released as a massive box set. Additionally, LEGO Insiders members can redeem their reward points to get sets based on the Kanto League Gym Badges and the iconic Pokémon Center that Trainers go to to heal their team after a grueling battle.
Rumor: Poké Ball LEGO Set Coming In August
There have been rumors of more Pokémon-themed LEGO sets coming later this year, and now insiders a.clay.brick and brick.tap have an inside tip on one of them. According to a post on both leakers’ Instagram accounts, LEGO is reportedly planning to release a Poké Ball set on August 1, 2026.
This set, which is said to be titled “72154 Poké Ball,” will reportedly consist of 2239 pieces and cost about $260 USD. This high price tag might be off-putting for some fans who feel that the previous Pokémon LEGO sets have been too expensive so far. Indeed, of the three mainline Pokémon LEGO sets, only 72151 Eevee isn’t priced in the triple digits.
However, this new Poké Ball set will supposedly open up to reveal a play scene of some kind, complete with minifigures and molded Pokémon pieces. There is no word on what characters will be included (and whether they will be based on the Pokémon games or anime series), but this will be the first Pokémon set to include LEGO’s classic minifigures.
Of course, this all assumes that the recent leak is true. In the past, the leakers involved correctly predicted the Kanto Starter trio LEGO set, as well as a few other products like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time‘s diorama set, so there is a good chance that this LEGO Poké Ball set will indeed hit shelves this August. Nonetheless, fans should keep their eyes peeled for any official announcements from Nintendo or LEGO in the meantime.
