Professional wrestling and fighting games like Street Fighter have a lot in common. They both feature larger-than-life heroes and villains with their own special moves and fighting styles, personal rivalries and storylines spanning years, if not decades, and martial arts being used as the solution to virtually any problem – even the ones that should probably be handled by the authorities…
It also doesn’t hurt that the new Street Fighter movie has Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns – two of WWE’s top performers – in lead roles as Guile and Akuma, respectively. All of these similarities haven’t been lost on the makers of WWE 2K26, as the hit squared circle sim is set to have a massive crossover with Street Fighter later this month. This will include multiple WWE superstars dressed as some of Capcom’s most iconic World Warriors, as well as unlockable cosmetics to help your custom wrestler hit the streets in style.
Interestingly enough, the playable characters being added as part of the new WWE 2K26 X Street Fighter Elite Pack started out as actual crossover action figures from Mattel, the first wave of which hit store shelves in 2025. Fast-forward a year, and a select handful of these toys will come to life in WWE 2K26, complete with unique moves and entrance music inspired by the classic Street Fighter characters they represent. And yes, they can do Hadokens and Psycho Crushers in the squared circle. Pretty sure that’s against the rules, but whatever.
Sadly, Cody Rhodes-as-Gulie and Roman Reigns-as-Akuma will not be part of the festivities, but these five top WWE stars are getting ready to rumble like it’s 1992:
The Rock ‘Final Boss’ as M. Bison

I’m pretty sure most people know who The Rock is these days – even if they’ve never even glimpsed a WWE broadcast. Before becoming one of the biggest action stars in Hollywood, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson honed his talents as one of the leading wrestlers of WWE’s Attitude Era of the late 90s – and has come back to test his might against the stars of the modern age on more than one occasion.
His most recent stint in WWE saw him take on a more villainous role as “The Final Boss,” a high-ranking executive who used both his corporate influence and relationship with other bad guys like Roman Reigns (he’s The Rock’s real-life cousin, by the way), to try and prevent Cody Rhodes from becoming the WWE Undisputed Champion at WrestleMania 40. Yes, both the Street Fighter movie actors were involved in this storyline, and it was epic.
Which makes it all the more fitting for The Rock to take the form of Street Fighter 2‘s own “final boss “: the dreaded M. Bison. While David Dastmalchian most recently played Shadaloo’s powerful leader on the silver screen, in WWE 2K26 it is The Rock who heads out to the ring wearing Bison’s signature red cap and cloak – and he certainly pulls the look off with gusto. He will also get to unleash Bison’s Psycho Power on anyone foolish enough to step in the ring with this bigger, badder, plastic version of the People’s Champion.
Remember: The day The Rock graced your arena was the most important day of your life. But for The Rock, it was Tuesday.
Rey Mysterio as Ryu

If there was one wrestler who best embodies the term “fighting spirit,” it would be Rey Mysterio. A high-flying luchador who’s been doing this for nearly four decades, Mysterio has often played the role of an underdog facing off against larger and stronger opponents – and more often than not overcoming the odds through an unbreakable will and the ability to pull off some truly incredible moves.
With all this in mind, who better for Rey Mysterio to represent than Ryu, the World Warrior himself and the closest thing the Street Fighter franchise has to a primary protagonist? Rey now walks to the ring dressed in Ryu’s classic white gi and red MMA gloves, and his mask is adorned with Ryu’s headband. Fun fact: Rey actually wore this getup for real while promoting Street Fighter 6‘s crossover with the WWE SuperCard mobile game back in 2024.
Rey’s new look isn’t just for show either, as WWE 2K26 social media clips show him shooting Hadoken fireballs like a true Ansatsuken master.
Bianca Belair as Cammy

Bianca Belair isn’t just one of the top female Superstars in the WWE; she’s the EST. That means she’s the strongEST, fastEST, biggEST competitor around. And with multiple world championships to her name (including the longest Raw Women’s Championship reign in history), it’s hard to dispute her claims of being the bEST in virtually any aspect of wrestling. Bianca’s mix of powerhouse strength and technical wrestling know-how often makes her a dominant force in the ring, and she isn’t above using her trademark long, braided ponytail as a weapon from time to time.
For the WWE 2K26 X Street Fighter Elite Pack, Bianca Belair is channeling Cammy, Bison’s former brainwashed minion who now fights for the side of good with her own brand of power-focused fighting and fierce, never-say-die attitude. She’s decked out in the green army attire, red beret and matching gauntlets of Cammy’s iconic Delta Red costume, and her braid even evokes the long pigtails that Cammy wore in her classic era. Bianca even busts out Cammy’s Spiral Arrow in a recently-shared gameplay snippet.
Here’s some more Cammy/WWE trivia: Bianca Belair’s fellow wrestler Liv Morgan was originally looked at to play Cammy in this year’s Street Fighter movie, but she ultimately missed out due to a shoulder injury that also took her off WWE programming for a while. No word on how that original casting would have affected Cammy’s presence in the WWE 2K26 DLC, given the lack of Guile and Akuma…
Ultimate Warrior as Blanka

The 1980s were a wild time for pro wrestling, and few sports entertainers were as untamed as the late Ultimate Warrior. Sporting neon face paint and long, barbarian-like hair, the Warrior always ran down to the ring like a man possessed, savagely shook the ring ropes whenever he prepared to deliver his signature running clothesline, and screamed angry, incoherent rants about spaceships and ancient spirits. He was even billed as hailing from “Parts Unknown,” so he might very well have been raised in a jungle somewhere.
Which makes him a good match for Street Fighter‘s resident wild man, Blanka. Ultimate Warrior’s take on the Brazilian beast sports green body paint, bright orange hair, and boots that resemble Blanka’s bare feet. His Destrucity has been replaced with Blanka’s Electric Thunder, but the jury’s still out on whether or not WWE 2K26 will let him bite his opponents…
Dominik Mysterio as Ken

Wrestling is often a generational profession, and Rey Mysterio’s son Dominik has daftly taken up his father’s legacy as the self-proclaimed “King of the Luchadores” – though with much more attitude and ill-will. In contrast to Rey’s typically goody-two-shoes persona, “Dirty Dom” is a cocky heel (bad guy) who has constantly caused trouble for the rest of the Monday Night Raw locker room as part of the villainous Judgement Day faction, and has regularly driven crowds to drown out the ring in a chorus of jeers whenever he appears.
While Ken Masters isn’t a villain by any stretch, he’s still a more arrogant, headstrong version of Ryu – down to the two famously using near-identical movesets for most of the Street Fighter series. As such, Dominik’s WWE 2K26 X Street Fighter Elite Pack character confidently struts down to the squared circle in Ken’s red karate gear, all as his rousing Street Fighter 2 theme plays in the background. Dom even manages to pull of a fiery Shoryuken on his dad-turned-rival backstage. Rey’s going to need to defeat that if he wants to stand a chance…
