Washford is the washing machine in Date Everything, and he is one hunky slice of laundry appliance. Washford loves a little poetry, thoughtful conversation, and extreme emotional anguish. His reasons are understandable.
Like many characters in Date Everything, Washford’s storyline is tethered to Drysdale, the dryer. They have a bit of a complicated past, and depending on how you get involved, the outcome will be quite a show. Below is everything you need to know to uncover all of Washford’s secrets.

Where to Find Washford in Date Everything
Washford can be encountered by interacting with the washing machine in the laundry room. He is only ever in this space, and can be spoken to from day one.
How to Get the Love Ending with Washford

It’s highly recommended to have at least 25 Smart points before you interact with Washford. It can still be done, but it will include an argument in the second encounter that must be handled carefully.
Washford’s Love ending is not a true romantic ending, because he is in love–madly, truly, deeply– with a different appliance in the room.
First Encounter
- Uhh… hello?
- In a mood, huh? Like, a good mood?
- Aha… it’s a bad mood, then.
- Anything you’d like to talk about?
- No jesting here. I’ve been told my jests are bad.
- I bet you are one hell of a storyteller.
There is an option here that requires 70 Sass. For this playthrough, I chose, “See? Like that. You just speak so beautifully.”
- I’m intrigued…
- I’m remembering all the times I’ve left my clothes in the washer too long… I’m sorry?
- That sounds intense.
- So what happens?
- Tell me.
- I think I understand.
- A deep breath…
- Purse eyebrows, sympathetically.
- Was that it?
- I’m going to need a little bit more detail here.
- Forsaken how?
- Sounds like you guys had a really amazing connection.
- So what’s the problem?
- But you had your art didn’t you?
- Whoa.
- Don’t worry! These things have a way of working out.
Second Encounter
- Hi Washford, how’s it going?
- Hey, you know I’m here, right?
- Please don’t stop talking.
- Yes…
- Anything real is quiet, true, and everlasting.
- Can you touch anything else?
- Go write ahead.
- Wait, don’t you mean like, Macdesk or something like that?
- There is a Smarts 25 option, for this playthrough, I chose “We read that in school.”
- Disappointing is kind of a harsh word.
- Hey, that’s rude. You don’t know anything about me.
- No! You don’t get to pass judgment on people just because they don’t read the same books as you!
- Look, I don’t want to fight with you, man…
- Look, whoever you’re actually mad at, it is NOT my fault!
- I think you’ve misunderstood me. I can see how passionate you are about what you believe.
Third Encounter
- I do respect you. Long speeches included.
- So you want to be my friend, then. Did I get that?
- I’d love to be your friend!
- Well, there’s a first!
- Drysdale.
- What if he wasn’t lost?
- I will see if he wants that.
- With all my heart, Washford.
How to Get the Friends Ending with Washford
To get the friends ending, you must get Washford and Drysdale back together.
Fourth Encounter
Talk to Washford again after getting your Love ending
- I’ve been thinking about getting you and Drysdale back together.
- Don’t be. It’s valid.
- He’s ready to apologize.
- Of course I do. You two are obviously in love.
How to Get the Hate Ending with Washford
To get Washford to hate you, insult all talk of poetry, reading, or wordplay. This will ensure he wants nothing to do with you.
