After months of conversation with the stone version of Caldarus on the player’s farm, the second major update for Fields of Mistria has delivered his statue-free form. The best bit? He’s totally hot.
Caldarus has been one of the most highly anticipated characters in Fields of Mistria since its release in 2024. Despite being a stone figure hidden to the side of the farm map, his dialogue boxes have a heart indicator, meaning this stone boy is a romanceable character.
As of the update that dropped on March 10, 2025, Caldarus can now be unlocked via several quest lines and a new location. Below is everything you need to unlock and find him.

How to Find Caldarus in Fields of Mistria
To find Caldarus in Fields of Mistria, you will need to release the Fire Seal in the mines. This process isn’t as straightforward as previous seals and will require a Sealing Scroll that must be obtained through a separate quest: “Procuring the Sealing Scroll”.
Once you have obtained the scroll from Balor or Eiland, for the price of x10 Silver Ingots, x10 Sapphires, x10 Rubies, and x10 Emeralds, you will return to the mines and open it. This will trap you, summoning Caldarus to your rescue.
To escape, the main character is taught Dragon’s Breath, and Caldarus will show himself in his “human” form. However, he isn’t physically in the mines, meaning there is still some work to do.
How to Unlock The Deep Woods in Fields of Mistria
To find Caldarus’ tangible form in Fields of Mistria, players will need to unlock the Deep Woods using the Dragon’s Breath spell.
Go to the vines blocking the entrance to the Deep Woods in the area above the Carpenter’s Shop. Use the spell to remove the vines. This permanently unlocks the new map.
Once unlocked, enter the Deep Woods to find Caldarus’ shrine. He will be asleep in his bed. All players have to do now is chat with him, and then visit whenever they want to chat.
How to Unlock Fast Travel to the Deep Woods
Once the Deep Woods are unlocked in Fields of Mistria, players can use x10 Essence at the Dragon Statue on the farm to fast-travel to Caldarus’ shrine in the Deep Woods.
This is a costly mode of transportation for those still unlocking skills, but once eveything has been accessed, it doesn’t hurt to spend a few to go see a cute dragon man play his flute.
