The world is falling apart, brothers are arguing, and zombies are beating down the town walls in Graveyard Keeper 2. Thankfully, a quiet fishing retreat could be just the thing to settle your nerves…if you can get hold of the rod. Unfortunately, the needed fishing rod is missing, and so is a boatload of pottery lost by the aforementioned arguing brothers. To replace these cups and bowls, you will need to create a pottery wheel.
The Pottery Wheel is an early-game crafting table in Graveyard Keeper 2, and it is locked behind the Building Tech Tree progression. To unlock it, you will need to grind experience and unlock a few other tables. In this guide, we will go over everything you need to know to get the Pottery Wheel.
How to Find the Pottery Wheel on the Tech Tree
To unlock the Pottery Wheel in Graveyard Keeper 2, you will need to finish unlocking The Concept of Wood and The Concept of Stone, and then spend 10 Red Experience Points and five Green Expirience Points to unlock Pottery I. Once unlocked, you will gain access to the Clay Plate recipe and the Pottery Wheel blueprint.
However, just unlocking the tech tree bracket won’t be enough. You will also need the Sawhorse, Woodworking Workbench I, Stonemason’s Workbench, and Chopping Spot. The sawhorse will allow you to craft wooden boards, the woodworking workbench offers Wooden Planks, and the Stonemason’s Workbench creates Pieces of Stone. Unlocking each of these stations can be a grind, but once they are all placed, you will have the foundational stations for a good deal of crafting.
Once you have all of these unlocked, go to the crafting table and craft the Potter’s Wheel using two Wooden Planks and three Pieces of Stone. Place the Pottery Wheel and build it to access the crafting table within.
How to Make Clay Plates
To craft Clay Plates at the Pottery Wheel, you will need two pieces of clay. This will make three Clay Plates. The clay can be found to the southeast of your homestead. It can be dug up using the shovel while interacting with the strange hole in the ground.
Using the Pottery Wheel grants a decent amount of experience, so it is worth it to spend some time making Clay Plates to sell or use.
Once you have the plates you need, return to the twin brothers Jeffrey and Heffrey in town to progress the quest for the Fishing Rod.
