October is typically the time of year when we are looking to add a skeleton or ghost to our family living room. However, this year we swapped our creepy collection for some adorable Nintendo staples thanks to Club Mocchi Mocchi, the TOMY plushies that are reimagining Kirby, Mario, and other classic franchises as some of the softest pillows we’ve ever touched.
Thanks to TOMY, we have had the opportunity to try out the Super Mario Mushroom Mega Plush, Suya Suya Sleeping Kirby Mega Plush, and the Kirby Warpstar Mega Plush. Each is priced at $38.99, and they are beyond anything we could have anticipated in overall quality, cuddliness, and durability.
Squishy Bodies & Smooth, Quality Fabric

I’m an avid plush collector. I’ve got Build-a-Bears, Pokemon Sleeping stuffies, snuggly Squishmallow pillows, and more little collectibles than any thirty-three-year-old really needs. Because of this, I’ve come to understand when I am paying for a brand and when I am actually getting a quality plushie.
Club Mocchi Mocchi has blown us away in the past few weeks. When first opening the the packaging, the pillows are soft to the touch and the fabric is thick and luxurious. The embroidery for the embellishments is clean with no dragging strings or gaps, and the assembly of each plush doesn’t feel cheap or poorly done.
What really surprised me was the filling. These plushes remind me of the way Squishmallows felt back when they first debuted. They have a give that is, ironically, like the Mocchi they are named after. It almost feels like memory foam.
All stuffed toys in my house must endure a five-year-old stress test. The second these came out of the box, my son stole them up to use them as snuggle buddies, crash landing pads for games of space adventure, and as “rocks” for floor is lava. Not only are they holding up to the extreme sports of an active imagination, they don’t dirty easily, and they clean well when they do get a smudge or a spot.
The Best Sofa Pillows

What has truly sold me on these stuffies, and has made me want to buy enough for every piece of furniture in my house, is that they make some of the best pillows.
My mother-in-law visited us recently, and despite knowing nothing of Nintendo, she fell in love with the Suya Suya Sleeping Kirby Mega Plush. So much so that we are planning on getting her one for her own home this holiday season. The overstuffed plushes perfectly lift and hold your head, and don’t flatten when slept on. The Mega Plushes are big enough to properly hold up even an adult person, and can be spooned while sleeping.
The best and worst part, is that they come in even bigger sizes, and I am pretty sure we are going to end up with a super sized Suya Suya Sleeping Kirby for the sofa before the year is over.
Cute Decorations That Serve a Purpose
I am always a fan of a cute plushie, but it’s amazing when they serve a functional purpose. The Club Mocchi Mocchi plushes are the best of collectibles while also offer comfortable and practical decorations to the space they take up.
These are great for someone looking to add a bit of Nintendo flair to their bedroom while still being used as a pillow, and they feel like they will stand daily wear and tear nicely. These are a great choice for anyone of any age, and the soft, squashy feel is addictive and satisfying in a way that most staple brands don’t quite hit. We are loving Club Mocchi Mocchi, and can’t wait to add more to the house in time for the holiday season.
