Many cozy gaming fans have had their eyes on Tales of Seikyu since it was first announced, including the team here at Bonus Action. This fantasy life sim was one of the most played demos during February 2025’s Steam Next Fest, and for good reason. It’s bringing the wholesome, fantasy-inspired vibes so many of us crave, and now, we finally know when we’ll be able to dive in and experience it for ourselves.
Tales of Seikyu is an upcoming fantasy life sim from developer Fireshine Games, a sister company to the studio that brought us Palia. With those cozy fantasy credentials, we’re excited to see what this new installment has to offer. Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait. May 7, Fireshine Games released a brand-new trailer to share the Early Access launch date for the game. The trailer features an exciting new look at the game’s stunning graphics and gameplay, including a few sneak peeks of the romance options!
Tales of Seikyu Early Access Release Date Confirmed
Of course, the big highlight from the new Tales of Seikyu trailer is that the game will launch into Early Access for PC via Steam on May 21! That’s just a few weeks away, meaning that cozy gamers will finally be able to experience the yokai legends and magical world for themselves! Not only does this trailer show off the beautiful world we’ll explore, it also highlights what gameplay will look like. That includes farming using our magical powers, exploring the colorful fantasy world, and some fun decorating and home customization as well! And do I spot some cooking going on? That’s my personal favorite cozy gaming mechanic, so I’m happy to get a glimpse of it here.
The twist for this fantasy farming sim is that your character can use magical yokai powers to do all sorts of things, including shapeshifting into a variety of creatures, including Crow Tengu and a powerful Boar. Your character has moved to the island of Seikyu, a haven for magical creatures that’s set apart from the human world. Here, you’ll begin a new life and rehab the old farm left to you and your sister by your Fox Clan ancestors. Tales of Seikyu gives off a magical and unique vibe that has us excited to dive into this one as soon as possible.
In addition to all the cozy goodness like farming, romance, and exploration, Tales of Seikyu also delivers a combat element. Perfect for those gamers who enjoy having a wide variety of options available to keep gameplay fresh!
