It’s been three years since Citizen Sleeper landed in our laps. The phenomenal series has drawn in more than 2 million players across two games, and for its third anniversary, everyone’s getting a free one-shot tabletop game called Citizen Sleeper Spindlejack.
This series is an amazing translation of TTRPG mechanics into video games, and we already had a proper tabletop game out of it courtesy of Lost in Cult. But this week, since May 5, 2025, was the anniversary, we get a new one-shot tabletop game you can print at home and enjoy. How awesome is that?
Run through Citizen Sleeper Spindlejack to immerse yourself further in its universe
First things first, you need to either play or read our Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector review to get a good idea of how amazing this universe is. Then, head to Itch.io to download this brilliant new free one-shot tabletop game.

In addition to the free game, we’ve got a ton of stats about the Citizen Sleeper series for you to dive into above. The most interesting stats I saw in there are how many players became part of the Fungal Network in the first game, and how few players finished the second game on Dangerous Difficulty.
In Citizen Sleeper Spindlejack, you play as a courier on the space station Far Spindle. You’ve got to survive a hostile environment right out of the second game, build relationships, earn some Cryo, and survive against the odds. It’s not everything you might expect based on the video games, but it’s damn close and you really can’t complain when it’s free.
What I absolutely adore about this whole situation is not only that this game is free, but that it’s a new format direct from the developer. Gareth Damian Martin, the creator of Citizen Sleeper, constructed the idea for Spindlejack to mirror the hard choices players have to make in the main game.
Very few developers would do this for their fans because of time restraints or overbearing publishers. I just think it’s so great that Jump Over The Age has given a unique game away for free, and that it’ll be there forever.
