Fear not, Baldur’s Gate 3 fans looking for their next Dungeons & Dragons game fix, for a brand new adventure is on its way, this time by Giant Skull.
If you also have a D&D video game-shaped hole in your heart, then you’re not alone. As Baldur’s Gate 3 winds to a close thanks to its final major update, many fans have been wondering what could be next, especially after Larian Studios announced they wouldn’t be working on another D&D adventure.
Now we finally have an answer, it’s coming from Giant Skull and is promising to be one of multiple D&D games coming soon from Wizards of the Coast.
Giant Skull to produce single-player action-adventure D&D game
As revealed by Wizards of the Coast, the D&D company has reached a publishing agreement with development studio Giant Skull, which is currently creating a single-player action adventure game with an immersive story set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.

As such, Giant Skull will be developing the adventure, and Wizards of the Coast will be publishing it.
Unfortunately, aside from the brief description above, we don’t have much more information regarding the style of game, only that it will be made available on console and PC.
However, we do know that Giant Skull was established by Stig Asmussen, best known for his work directing God of War II and the Star Wars Jedi series, so expect similar designs or beats to be scattered throughout.
In the press release, Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro digital gaming president John Hight explained: “Worldbuilding and storytelling are in our DNA, and this collaboration reflects our evolution and commitment to our Playing to Win Strategy, building a stronger presence in digital play. We look forward to revealing more about this brand-new Dungeons & Dragons game in the future.”
Where it’s set, when it’ll take place, and who it’ll feature are all yet to be revealed, as well as what edition of Dungeons & Dragons it’ll feature. Though our guess is on the One D&D rather than 5e.
