It’s no secret that cozy gamers love a good cafe management sim. We also love a good farming sim and some adorable pixel art. Upcoming release Call of Boba combines all these elements and more for an engaging gameplay loop that will keep you coming back for more.
Some of the team at Bonus Action (myself included) played and loved Call of Boba‘s demo during Steam Next Fest. So, we were thrilled to see that the game has confirmed its Early Access release date – and that it’s very soon! Call of Boba will arrive on March 11, 2025, via Steam.
Call of Boba Early Access Begins March 11
The team behind Call of Boba recently shared that the game will arrive in Early Access on March 11th. Though the devs do have plans to make the game available on Mac, Early Access will be a PC only release via Steam. Along with the release date announcement, Tomatoast also shared a new trailer with a look at Tapioca Town.
In Call of Boba, players will return home to Tapioca Town and find new purpose by helping a friend run a boba shop. By day, you’ll explore the town, make friends, and of course, get those cozy gaming stamples of farming and fishing in, too. By night, you’ll battle the corporate office stress dreams that haunt you, using a magical boba gun to take out rogue office appliances and more. Of course, it’s all in the name of collecting ingredients to make exciting new boba tea recipes!
As of now, developer Tomatoast hasn’t released a development roadmap for the game in Early Access. The specific price for Call of Boba has also not been set just yet. Players who want to provide feedback and help improve the game before its full release can do so by joining the official Call of Boba Discord, which has a channel for game feedback. Previews and teasers are also shared in this community, so it’s a good way to keep the hype going while we wait for the March 11th release.
