Whether you’re a Grand Theft Auto fan or not, it’s hard to miss the GTA 6 hype. In fact, it sometimes feels like the next GTA is basically the only game coming out this fall. Of course, Nintendo did treat us to the news that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is dropping in November, as well. But with these massive releases taking up a lot of mental real estate, it’s easy to forget just how many exciting cozy games are headed our way in the coming months, too. Sure, we don’t have that Witchbrook release date just yet, but there’s plenty of cozy gaming goodness for September and beyond.
Personally, I always feel called to farming sims and magical games once September hits. Admittedly, that’s kind of my vibe most of the time. But curling up in the blankets with my Switch 2 feels even cozier once the leaves begin to turn. Even if it’s still pretty hot where I live, I’m ready for fall gaming. And that means looking forward to some of the most exciting new cozy games coming out in the next few months.
Dragon Shelter
Release Date: September 24th

Dragons and farming sims collide in Dragon Shelter, an upcoming cozy game from Wild Forest Studio and Curve Games. This management sim brings you to a rundown village, where you quickly find yourself befriending your very own dragon. Alongside your magical new friend, you will grow crops, cook, and help out the locals to bring the sleepy town back to life. Think typical farming sim gameplay, but with dragons. I really enjoyed the demo for this one when I played it a while back, and I’m looking forward to diving into the full game when it releases this September.
Farming Camp
Release Date: September 24th

September 24th is bringing us two new farming sims with a twist, because it’s also the release date for Farming Camp. In this pixel art sim from Innerfire Studios and Soedesco, players attend Evertree Farming Camp and vie to be the very best farmer. It’s a narrative farming sim with plenty of unique mini-games to engage with as you complete quests and befriend your fellow campers. There’s a free demo live on all platforms now, offering a chance to check it out early before its release. Personally, I’ve got high hopes for this one.
The Witch’s Bakery
Release Date: October 14th

This game was supposed to launch back in August, but it was delayed for a bit more time in the oven. That’s only made me all the more eager to see more from this management sim. Developed by Sunny Lab and published by Silver Lining Interactive, The Witch’s Bakery delivers a cozy, story-rich adventure RPG where you play as a witch starting her own bakery in Paris. You’ll manage your shop, bake goods, serve customers, and explore the city. I’ve been watching this one for a while, and I can’t wait to experience the full game.
One Piece: Grand Gourmet
Release Date: October 22nd

Let me confess something slightly shameful. Despite being an avid anime enthusiast since middle school, I’ve never been all that interested in One Piece. But I am interested in playing every single cooking sim I can. So, I was naturally beyond thrilled to see One Piece: Grand Gourmet when Kairosoft and Bandai Namco announced it earlier this year. This One Piece sim combines city-building, farming sim, and cooking sim mechanics with adorable pixel art iterations of iconic One Piece characters and recipes. Frankly, it looks delightful whether you’re a huge One Piece fan or just a cooking sim obsessive like me.
Milki Delivery
Release Date: November 17th

I still routinely think about how much I enjoyed playing Minami Lane. So, I am more than ready to check out this brand-new game from the same developers, Blibloop and Doot. Milki Delivery brings players to a world where cows are all but extinct. It’s up to us to deliver milk to the locals while also trying to help our beloved Milki find more of her kind. Like Minami Lane, this cozy point-and-click adventure will be relatively short, but it should be well worth the journey. And did I mention that the art style is absolutely adorable? Because yeah, it is.
Grave Seasons
Release Date: Fall 2026

Like many games this year, Grave Seasons was delayed from its original release date. But Perfect Garbage and Blumhouse still plan to deliver their horror farming sim in fall 2026, according to the most recent update. Whether that means October or November remains to be seen. But this unique twist on the narrative farming sim sees players hunting down a killer… who just might turn out to be the same NPC you had your eye on romancing! This is one of several upcoming cozy horror games, and our team is definitely looking forward to seeing how the game balances the cozy and the scary.
