With Adventures in Wildspace coming to a close, Neverwinter players will leave the exciting expanse of Spelljammer behind for a familiar setting in Module 29: Mountain of Flame.
Unlike the cool adventure zones of Adventures in Wildspace, players will set off for Mount Hotenow, an iconic zone originally introduced at the game’s inception in 2013. The new adventure will introduce fully revamped maps, a new storyline, and the addition of the Unvaulted Dungeon, Lair of the Mad Dragon.
Mountain of Flame will Light Up Player Curiosity

Mountain of Flame will be released on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation on July 16, 2024.
In Module 29, Neverwinter players will be tasked with investigating the smoking volcano Mount Hotemore. Doing so will bring those brave enough to explore the area toe-to-toe with the Fire Giant Gommoth.
Mountain of Flame will be set in the overhauled adventures Zones of Mount Hotemore, which will feature upgraded visuals, improved NPC placement, and biome-specific events like lava flows and geysers.
Players will also encounter Gommoth’s lackeys, who will skulk around the mountain, ready to fight anyone who dares step in their way. These battles will likely be similar to those found in the Underdark.
Neverwinter‘s 29th Module will include the Unvaulted Dungeon, Lair of the Mad Dragon. Players can gather a party together to work through the classic dungeon setup, with three different difficulty levels: Normal, Advanced, and Master. Each difficulty level will provide different rewards, with the Master level providing the best of the loot. It won’t be an easy battle, however, so be sure to level up and balance parities appropriately before challenging the dungeon.
Alongside these adventures, Mountain of Flame will also bring a few quality-of-life improvements. These include a Guild management update that will allow players to name Guilds and Alliances, as well as Companion updates.
With so many exciting new challenges just around the corner, it is the perfect time to grind levels and gear up before Neverwinter Module 29: Mountain of Flame releases in July.
