Players will soon have an eighth class to choose from in Diablo Immortal with the upcoming addition of the new Tempest. These warrior-priests will soon make their way to the game, and Blizzard is getting players ready with a deluge of information about all the class features.
If you’ve ever dreamed of controlling the winds and waters, this new Tempest class might just be the one to choose for your next Diablo Immortal session. While Blizzard previously gave us a sneak peek at the new class in a thrilling trailer, we’ve now got more details and the official release date for the Tempest class.
Players Can Live Their Poseidon Dreams With the Diablo Immortal Tempest Class

In anticipation of the new Tempest class, which will be available on May 23, Blizzard has shared a veritable treasure trove of information to help players prep. The new class will debut with an introductory North of the Dreadlands quest, where newly minted Tempest warriors will take on a mission to rescue an island from mysterious mists.
Players can also create a new Tempest character or change their existing character’s class to Tempest upon reaching Westmarch. To help gamers decide if the Tempest is for them, there will be a temporary change to the Class Change cooldown period, allowing players unlimited chances to revert back to their prior class.
The Tempest class are warrior-priests with the power to control wind and water, with a focus on mobility and speed. Players will combine lightning-fast melee attacks with wind and water powers for powerful AOE attacks that will leave enemies drowning in the deluge of their might. Tempests can also use the Mist-Touched ability and other skills to summon Zephyrs, allies with Tempest-like powers, to fight alongside them.
Alongside the release of the Tempest class, Diablo Immortal will gain many new class-specific Legendary Items for players to enjoy, adding to the versatility of the class. This will include new armor, helms, weapons, and more.
The content update that will introduce the Tempest to Diablo Immortal will also update the Paragon System, to streamline the system while increasing choice for players. The new system will freshen up the Paragon skill tree, simplifying the prior 15-tree system into a system of 5 trees with branching pools in each branch.
In addition to the details about this pending update, Blizzard has released a behind-the-scenes documentary all about the creation of the new Tempest class, which fans can watch on YouTube as they await their turn to step into the Tempest role on May 23.
