Originally announced at the start of 2025, Pokémon TCG‘s Journey Together expansion has hit the shelves of major retail stores. This special collection has had fans pumped, thanks to the return of “Trainer’s” cards.
Trainer’s cards haven’t been seen outside of promo releases since the Japan release of “Double Crisis” in 2015. Before this, they were last printed in “ex Team Rocket Returns” in 2004. The reveal of the Trainer’s cards for the Scarlet & Violet meta left longtime fans deeply excited, as it offers a chance to see favorite characters in alternate art alongside powerful Pokémon companions.
Journey Together is the first of several expansions that will highlight these cards, with Hop, Iono, Lillie, and N taking the stage in this list. When Did Pokémon TCG Journey Together Release?
The Pokémon TCG Journey Together expansion was released in stores and online on March 28, 2025. It is currently available to purchase at big box stores like GameStop, Walmart, Target, and Kroger. Players can also purchase items from the Pokémon Center website.
