The cozy street management game Minami Lane has received its first major update since the game’s release. In this update, the developers deliver some much-requested additions to the game.
Whether you’ve played Minami Lane or are considering it, here’s everything we know about the changes from the 1.1 Update.
Minami Lane 1.1 Update Patch Notes
The biggest changes with the 1.1 Update to Minami Lane are geared towards bringing more players the ability to play and enjoy the cozy game.
First up, six more languages were added to the game. Players can now enjoy Minami Lane in seven total languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.
The 1.1 Update also brings full gameplay support for Minami Lane, letting players manage their adorable streets using a variety of controllers. The update also adds Steam Deck support for the game, so you can take it on the go. Since you previously couldn’t really play the game with controllers at all, this is a huge shift that will likely draw new fans for this adorable game.

Visual Improvements
With the 1.1. update, players will see some visual improvements to the game. These include:
- New Tanuki objects
- New decorations on the electric cables in Mission 4
- Falling leaf animation on some trees
- More easily visible Tanuki workers
- Certain symbols such as commas and dots are now larger in the game’s font
- Text position for the buttons is improved
- Tooltip placement improvements around the middle of the screen
Quality of Life Updates
Alongside visual tweaks, the Minami Lane update also offers some quality-of-life improvements to the game. The highlights for QoL improvements include:
- Reduced disk size for the game
- Improved loading times for some players
- New buttons to make navigating menus easier
- New conditions for some Daily News events
- Sandbox Mode will use random music from the different mission tracks
Like any update, we’ll also see some bug fixes and repairs to Minami Lane thanks to the 1.1 version. Personally I never ran across any bugs while playing, but there were some issues with menus and buttons behaving in unanticipated ways that have been addressed.
Minami Lane is just three months old and has already garnered a loyal fanbase, with an Overwhelmingly Positive review on Steam.
