Lady Ligia is one of the romanceable knights in Sovereign Tower and one that’s easy to miss unless you know how to use your Demon powers.
She’s a somewhat scatterbrained young woman fiercely determined to help others, especially if helping means keeping her feet in the sand and her hair full of sea salt. She was once the crown princess of Southbay, and she’s hiding a half-mermaid condition. Her recruitment is the payoff of Southbay’s entire county questline.
This Ligia guide covers everything you need, including how to recruit her, her favourite meals, the quest types she actually enjoys, and every dialogue choice across all four of her affinity events, including her full romance.

Ligia is a somewhat scatterbrained young woman who is nonetheless fiercely determined to help others, especially if helping means keeping her feet in the sand and her hair full of sea salt. She was once the crown princess of Southbay, which she mentions the way some people mention a summer job. Her hidden Half Mermaid trait is doing a lot of quiet work here.

How to Unlock Ligia
Ligia can be recruited once you successfully complete Southbay’s entire questline.

In Act 2, she’ll come around searching for the Wish-Granting Lamp to cure her father, Count Yiannis, and mentions a rival: “a scout from the Empire has set out to search for this lamp along our coastline.”
Two lamp-retrieval quests follow, each with a hard 3-cycle deadline, but by the time it’s over you’ll find someone’s already taken the lamp, and Ligia’s follow-up audience will have her storming out of the tower.
At this point, use your Demon Power to rewind time to her very first audience scene, and use the Omniscient dialogue to immediately set sail to the lamp’s location. With Ligia’s father alive, she rallies the county and hands you an Azure Sword relic. More importantly, Ligia’s candidacy fires inside that ending’s closing beat, as long as you never lied to her along the way.
Romance & Interactions
One-Heart Event
You find Ligia at a window at the end of the day, lost in contemplation. “Ah, Sovereign… Do you usually come here to look out the window at the end of your workday?”
Dialogue Choices:
“Yes. The scenery is pleasant, isn’t it?” (leads into the same follow-up either way)
“No, I prefer the view from my personal quarters.” (leads into the same follow-up either way)
Dialogue Choices:
“Well, if you climb high enough, with a telescope and clear weather, it is possible.” (+Affinity. “Oh! …would you be willing to lend me a telescope? Although I would prefer to feel the water running down my skin, at least it’s a small consolation.”)
“I have plenty of other things to worry about.” (no affinity change. “Oh, I don’t see what could be more important than that though, Sovereign…”)
Dialogue Choices:
“*Only* three hours away.” (no affinity change)
“A grey, dreary, cold that breaks your soul.” (no affinity change)
“Undoubtedly the most beautiful city in Brizh.” (routes into a follow-up where she asks if the water is bluer than blue, the sand fine)
Dialogue Choices:
“(Lie) That’s a very accurate description.” (no affinity change)
“It’s actually quite the opposite, in reality. But… it definitely has its *charm*.” (no affinity change)
She closes by asking if you have anything like a public bath here.
Dialogue Choices:
Public baths (no affinity change. She recoils: “As in ‘lots of wrinkled, shriveled skin in the same place’, you mean? …That’s a lot of naked flesh to take in one place”)
A romance-gated flirt line (no affinity change, but raises romance.)
Two-Heart Event
Ligia is studying a small Tower pond, asking if you’d let her stock it with mosquitofish.
Dialogue Choices:
Agree (+Affinity.)
“I don’t like fish.” (no immediate affinity change, but sets up a colder version of the next exchange. She visibly closes off, “like a shell protecting a pearl”)
Dialogue Choices:
“I must say they make me uncomfortable.” (−Affinity, and a big one (−3).)
“It doesn’t change anything for me. I bear a curse of my own, after all.” (+Affinity.)
A romance-gated line (“You’re perfect just the way you are.”) (no affinity change, but raises romance. She gets flustered and asks, tenderly, to one day see what’s under your own mask)
Dialogue Choices:
“…” (say nothing, just listen) (no affinity change)
A romance-gated flirt line (“It was your difference in particular that drew me to you.”) (no affinity change)
A second romance-gated flirt line (“When I’m near you, my difference seems more bearable.”) (no affinity change, but raises romance)
Three-Heart Event
Ligia is choosing between three books, “Beyond Angelor,” “Escape to Moonvale,” or “The Forgotten Islands of Basalt.” Whichever you pick just flavors her reaction, no affinity difference between the three.
Dialogue Choices:
“Beyond Angelor.” (no affinity change)
“Escape to Moonvale.” (no affinity change)
“The Forgotten Islands of Basalt.” (no affinity change)
She opens up about wanting to travel on her own terms one day, “not because someone else decided it for me,” before admitting her condition makes it frightening.
Dialogue Choices:
“Would you like me to send you on more quests to unknown lands?” (+Affinity. “Oh, that’s sweet of you, Sovereign… But work isn’t quite the same as a self-planned trip, is it?”)
“I understand. I can’t move around as freely as I’d like either.” (no affinity change)
A romance-gated option (“What if we travel together?”) (no affinity change, but raises romance)
This leads into the scene’s real gut-punch: Ligia wonders aloud whether there’s a cure for your condition too, and whether, if there were, you’d want it.
Dialogue Choices:
“I don’t want to. I accept my condition.” (+Affinity. She calls it a quiet sadness, but understands the logic of not fighting the wind)
“I wish that were possible. I suffer from my condition.” (no affinity change. She’s left infinitely sad, unsure which is better, accepting fate or burning out fighting it)
Romance Event
Ligia comes looking for you with something on her mind: “I have to say, I’m quite elated to be…here, in front of you. It gives me the feeling that I have something important to ask you.”
Dialogue Choices:
A joking response (Audacious) (+Affinity, and raises the Audacious sovereign tag. She laughs: “Oh, Sovereign, that’s not very kind to your subjects… But it’s true that… after some of the tasks you’ve given me… I can’t totally disagree with you”)
Let her ask directly (no affinity change)
She settles and asks the real question: “Are you…happy? Doing all of this, day in and day out?”
Dialogue Choices:
“Yes. I love my daily life here.” (no affinity change. She admits some of your quests have made her question your kindness too)
A fatalist response (“Someone has to do it, right?”) (no affinity change)
“It’s a necessary sacrifice to make my people happy.” (no affinity change)
A commanding response (Tyrannic) (no affinity change, but raises the Tyrannic sovereign tag)
Every path converges on the same beat: “you sense a veil of sadness in her eyes. She suddenly seems vulnerable, hurt by this inability to change the order of things.” The scene’s one guaranteed affinity gain fires here automatically, not gated behind any of the choices above:
+Affinity. “In any case… I also wanted to say that I’m happy to have met you, Sovereign. You answer all my questions, no matter how many there are. And you’ve sparked a curiosity in me for even more.”
Deep in the conversation, romance-gated dialogue turns physical. She takes a hesitant step forward and reaches for your mask. “I don’t want to force you to take it off… I know what it’s like, after all.”
Dialogue Choices:
“I want to let you see.” (Take off your mask) (Ligia studies your bare face at length, then thanks you, visibly moved)
“I’m sorry.” (Keep your mask on) (she meets your eyes with quiet, wordless understanding instead)
The scene closes on a kiss either way, and Ligia’s own vulnerability mirrors yours: “Next time, I could show you my fins… if you want?”
Still here? Good.
