How to Romance Winston in Moonlight Peaks – Gift & Heart Event Guide

Knights of Nokturna Initiation

To start Winston’s first heart event, find him any time after reaching your first heart with him. He gets talked into a card game with Evan and Ludo and spends the whole scene bracing for it to somehow turn into a supernatural ritual, despite everyone assuring him it’s just cards.

Dialogue Choices:

• Talk him down,
  • “You’re overthinking it. It’s just cards…“
  • “Come on, what’s the worst that could happen?” (“I can think of so many things that could go wrong.” He caves anyway: “Fine. One game.”)

Learning the Ropes

Winston’s taking a stab at carpentry, badly, cheerfully narrating his own incompetence the whole way through with Ridge and Ludo, and admits almost by accident that he’s actually starting to settle into life in Moonlight Peaks despite every supernatural thing about it still unsettling him.

Dialogue Choices:

• Call out the admission,
  • “Careful, Winston. You might start liking it here.” (“Yeah, yeah… That would be the day, er, night.”)
  • “Took you long enough!” (“Hey, adjusting to Moonlight Peaks is a process, okay?”)

A Totally Normal Date

Winston nervously invites you for “totally casual” coffee, insists repeatedly that this is a completely normal meetup between two completely normal people, and gets heckled the entire time by a couple of overly invested ghosts rooting for the romance.

Dialogue Choices:

• Keep him grounded,
  • “Relax, Winston. We’re just having coffee.” (“Right, right. Coffee. Normal. Chill. I can do that.” He admits he barely does social interaction at all, let alone dating.)
  • “You’re cute when you panic, you know that?” (“Was that flirting? Because now I’m panicking for a different reason.”)

Fear and Affection

Winston gets genuinely honest here: dating you means confronting a lifelong wariness of everything supernatural, and he hates that the fear creeps in at all given how much he actually wants this.

Dialogue Choices:

• Reassure him,
  • “Just don’t disappear on me, okay?” (“I mean… I might hide occasionally, but disappear? No way. All right. One step at a time, right?”)
  • “I wouldn’t want you to change, ever.” (same reassurance follows either way.)

Wonky Chair 2.0

Winston built you a bench, an actual upgrade from a previous carpentry attempt that apparently screamed “help, I’m collapsing,” complete with a noticeable wobble he insists is rustic craftsmanship.

Dialogue Choices:

• Respond to the gift,
  • “It’s perfect. Just like you.” (“I know I still get spooked by… well, everything. But sitting here with you? It feels like the safest place in the world.”)
  • “I love it. Wobble and all.”

Bite Me, Pretty Please (and Can You Bite Me?)

Winston finally gets around to something that’s clearly been sitting with him for a while: he doesn’t want to be the one creaking with age while you stay exactly as you are, and he wants forever with you badly enough to actually ask for it, panic and all.

Dialogue Choices:

• Give him your answer,
  • “Of course. I want to spend forever with you.” (“Wait, really?! That’s… wow. Okay. That’s fantastic! Also mildly terrifying, but in the most romantic way possible.”)
  • “It’s… a huge decision. I’m not ready.” (he takes it well: “Yeah, no, totally fair. It was probably a long shot anyway.”)

• On a later visit, after losing real sleep over it, he brings it up again. Respond,
  • “I’ve thought about that too.” (he finally gets the actual question out: “Would you ever consider, maybe, turning me into a vampire? So we could be together, for the long haul.”)
  • “Where are you going with this?”
