Ludo lives on the top floor of the Howling Hammer in Moonlight Peaks, directly above his father Ridge’s carpentry shop, and has made a career out of ignoring every bit of that legacy. He’s Brook, the mayor’s nephew and Saga’s cousin, and mostly known around town for naps, ghost stories, and giving his uncle a permanent headache. What people don’t see as easily is the vampire-surf-rock opera he’s quietly writing or the actual person underneath the mischief.
Ludo is a big fan of breakfast food, spicy takeout, and Diamonds. He warms up fast to anyone who matches his energy and gets a little more guarded when people push him to be productive or explain himself.
He’s just looking for someone who’ll match his vibe without asking him to be someone else. In this guide, we’ll break down all of Ludo’s gift preferences, his heart events, and the best answers for each encounter.

All Heart Events For Ludo in Moonlight Peaks
Ludo’s easiest to find asleep, usually somewhere in the Howling Hammer. Below are Ludo’s heart events and the conversations you can have with him. We have bolded the best answers for each interaction during events.
One-Heart Event
Bed and Breakfast
To start Ludo’s first heart event, find him any time after reaching your first heart with him. Ridge warns you he’s still asleep and that you’d have better luck waking a rock. Once you actually get him up, he’s spiraling about all the plans his nap ate into.
Dialogue Choices:
- Offer to help,
- “I could make breakfast…” (“Radical! You are officially my favorite person!”)
- “How about some pancakes?” (“You’ll cook? That nap was exhausting. I could definitely use some fuel.”)
Two-Heart Event
The Society of Shivery Stories
Ludo runs a self-serious secret club with Sabrina and Mina (and a scream-prone Evan) dedicated to trading scary stories, and treats your initiation with real gravity.
Dialogue Choices:
- React to the pitch,
- “That sounds… suspiciously spooky.” (“Suspicious? Yes. Spooky? Also yes. Also, we have snacks. Sometimes.”)
- “The what?” (same invitation follows either way.)
Three-Heart Event
The Gift That Tied the Room Together
Ludo rescues a couple of rugs from Aras’s discard pile and wants your help deciding where they go and which one suits his place, admitting he trusts your eye more than his own.
Dialogue Choices:
- Pitch in,
- “Let me help!” (“Awesome, thanks! I trust your eye way more than mine.”)
- “I know just the spot!”
Four-Heart Event
To Pull Up a Chair
Ludo’s struggling through a carpentry apprenticeship under his dad Ridge, dropping screws and getting frustrated, and admits he just wants his dad to be proud of him for once. In a weak moment he asks if you’ll just fix the chair for him instead.
Dialogue Choices:
- The genuinely supportive move here isn’t the easy one,
- “You don’t have to cheat, Ludo.“
- “Okay, if you insist, I’ll help you…” (“I’m… glad you’re here. It’s nice having someone who believes in me, no matter what.”)
Five-Heart Event
Lunch and Chopping
Ludo talks you into a woodcutting contest against his brother Ridge, fully expecting to lose.
Dialogue Choices:
- When he asks if you’ll come along,
- “Need a hand? I could join in.” (“You’d really come out there with me? That’s… kinda awesome. I mean, we could make it a date.”)
- “You’ve got this.” (same invitation follows either way.)
Six-Heart Event
Dinner Story Time
Ludo cooks a full family dinner, fancy blueberry pancakes since he calls them his love language, then reads an original story from his Shivery Stories collection about a wolf father and his pup finding his own path, a story that’s clearly about him and Ridge whether he says so or not. It lands harder than anyone, himself included, expected. Dessert is a batch of slightly melted Cheeken-shaped cupcakes that need a name, purely a fun call with no wrong pick.
Dialogue Choices:
- Before the story even starts, respond,
- “I could get used to this kind of treatment.“
- “You’re spoiling us!”
- Once the story lands and Ridge tells him it was really good,
- “I really wanna hear the rest!” (Saga backs it up: “It was… beautiful. You seriously need to keep writing.”)
- “No way are you stopping there, keep going!”
Seven-Heart Event
Bite Me, Pretty Please (and Can You Bite Me?)
Ludo wants to become a vampire and immediately spirals into excited chaos about being a werewolf-vampire hybrid (working title: werepire), but underneath the bit is something sincere: no long goodbyes, no mismatched lifespans, just more of the two of you.
Dialogue Choices:
- Give him your answer,
- “Sink my teeth into you? With pleasure.” (“YES! I knew it! You’re the best! Okay, meet me at the Crypt, all right?”)
- “This is… a lot, Ludo. I need to think about it.” (he takes it in stride: “That’s okay! Totally okay… But just so you know, I’m definitely asking again.”)
After reaching Heart Level three in Moonlight Peaks, you will be able to hug Ludo, and starting from Heart Level Four, you can ask him out on dates, which also enables kissing. It is possible to lose hearts by doing badly on dates or giving hated presents. However, if you don’t give him a Coin, you should be headed in the right direction.
How to get married in Moonlight Peaks
Once you hit eight hearts with someone, a proposal option shows up at the end of a date.
If the other person says yes, you’ll be able to set the wedding date on the spot, which then logs itself on your calendar. You can swing by Third Eye Threads the next day for white wedding attire if you want to dress up, though the game won’t force you into it.
On the day itself, the ceremony kicks off the moment you wake up.
Marrying locks you into monogamy. Anyone else you were dating drops to a heartbroken “hurt” status capped at four hearts, and your new spouse gets two more hearts to earn with you.
How to break up in Moonlight Peaks
To break up or get a divorce, you’ll need to speak to Llemi.
When you’re ready, head to his place in the Pink Grove (you’ll need Luna Bay unlocked first) and tell him you want out. Sleep through the night and your ex is back to being a regular friend by morning.
If you’re hoping to remarry after, budget the time: you’re starting that climb back to eight hearts from scratch.
Still here? Good.
