When getting started in Voyagers of Nera, a set of stone tools will get the job done. However, as the difficulty of enemies and natural resources grows, the need for something better will eventually rear its head. Sharpstone is the first advanced material players need to get their hands on, and getting started with it is no easy task.
The process of getting Sharpstone can be a true grind, especially for anyone playing on a single-player server. Found in shards, Sharpstone isn’t going to break when hit with a Stone Pickaxe. Because it is needed to craft the pickaxe that will break Sharpstone nodes, it can be very difficult to get the needed shards when first starting out.
How to Get Sharpstone Shards in Voyagers of Nera

Sharpstone is most easily accessed by raiding lost urns at the start of the game. However, this isn’t the most sustainable way to do so. Once players have unlocked the Sharpstone Pickaxe blueprint at Level 8, collected the 12 Sharpstone shards from urns, and crafted their first Sharpstone Pickaxe, they’ll be able to mine from Sharpstone ore deposits.
These deposits are the large, black stones that appear on beaches and glow faintly in the dark at night. However, they won’t break under a Stone Pickaxe, so players must forage Sharpstone shards until they can craft the more advanced option for easy mining.
What is Sharpstone Used For?

Sharpstone is a medium-level building material used for a great many blueprints in Voyagers of Nera. The most notable of these are the Sharpstone Pickaxe, Axe, and Arrows.
Sharpstone is also a core component of the Woodworking Station, which offers players access to advanced base crafting options. Because of this, amassing a decent quantity is critical.
Due to its unusual difficulty level in the early access build, it is possible the material could get some balancing in future patches. Currently, it is extremely difficult to access, especially as you need the material to build the item that mines it. This creates a bit of a problem if the shards don’t spawn in urns regularly.
