Once you have gotten started building your base in Hytale, your progress will become contingent on finding copper ore and crafting copper ingots. Copper is the earliest precious metal in the game, and it is needed to build important crafting stations like the Blacksmith’s Table and Armorer’s Table.
Those familiar with Minecraft will find that mining copper ore in Hytale isn’t quite as easy. We tried the dig-down method in a man-made cave and had no luck finding ore-bearing rocks. That is likely because copper ore spawns out of regular stone in Hytale. This makes getting it without encountering something spooky in a cave a bit of a challenge.
How to Mine Copper Ore in Hytale

To get copper ore in Hytale, you will need to enter one of the caves that naturally form in the biome. After going down a few levels, you will see copper protrusions from the stone of the cave walls. You must have a crude pickaxe to pry the ore from the stone. Each rock yields two copper ore.
The ore will be unusable in this form. It will need to be processed before it can be used in crafting recipes.
How to Craft a Furnace and Smelt Copper Ingots in Hytale

To melt copper ore into copper ingots in Hytale, you will need to build a furnace. This can be built from the crafting table in the tables tab. It will cost 6 Tree Trunks and 6 Stone.
Once the furnace is built, it needs to be placed and loaded with fuel. Charcoal or tree trunks can be used to heat it.

Once you have loaded it up, place the copper ore into the processing slots. After this, be sure to turn the furnace on, or it won’t process.
After a few seconds, the copper ore will be processed into copper ingots, which can be used to build new crafting stations, copper tools, and copper weapons. Once you have copper tools, you will be able to gather Iron in Hytale.
