Sauge has her hands full in Caravan SandWitch, juggling everything from tracking down Abricot’s collection of plushies to stuffing her caravan with every last component she can scrounge up. Oh, and let’s not forget toppling an evil corporation and finding her lost sister—because, obviously, there’s plenty of time for that too.
If you’re hoping to breeze through the side quests, main quests, and overall chaos of Caravan SandWitch, you’ll need to master the fine art of hoarding and puzzle-solving.

All component types and where to find them
Components are the currency of Caravan SandWitch. With them, you can create new tools to solve the game’s puzzles and progress through the main and side quests.
Common components
Common components are pretty easy to find. They’re green and scattered all over the map. You can find them on the ground, on rooftops, inside ruins, in buried treasures, and you can even get them for completing side quests.
Early game zones like Estello Village, Rose’s Retreat, the Hydropost, and Cigalo Calanque’s Coves are full of common components.
Uncommon components
Uncommon components are a bit harder to find. They’re red and can only be found in some places that are harder to reach. They’re often attached to old, abandoned vehicles or robots as well.
You’ll find a couple of uncommon components in the early game areas, especially in the Hydropost and Cigalo Calanque’s Coves.
Rare components
Rare components appear in yellow and are hard to find. They’re usually hidden in rooms tied to puzzles. In the early game, you can get a couple through side quests. Once you unlock the desert in Chapter 2, you’ll get access to more of them.
Exceptional components
Exceptional components are the rarest components in Caravan SandWitch. They’re purple hexagons with the best technology. You can only find them in the desert area and even then, you’ll need some advanced tools to reach them.
How to find mushrooms
The minute you enter the Croaking Forest’s cave, all the Tetos escape through the front door. So much for keeping them safe, Fuscus.
To lure the Tetos back into the cave, you must place them inside the Teto Jar Fuscus gives you. The issue is, these creatures aren’t so willing to go inside a glass container just because you ask them.
The key to convincing the Tetos to go back to the cave is to feed them a mushroom. These mushrooms are scattered all over the map, but you can spot them by looking for the glowing cyan ones (Reineto tombs). For each Reineto tomb you spot, you can harvest one mushroom for the Tetos.
You can find mushrooms by using the antenna. With Fuscus’ Mycelium converter upgrade, the outline of the Mycelium is shown below the ground. Follow it to find more Reineto tombs and mushrooms.
How to get a pulley
If you’re an adventurous soul, you’ll soon run into red ziplines you can only use if you’ve got a pulley. This is a tool you’ll craft in the Estello Village’s garage, but not until the later chapters of the game. You’ll first need to get an antenna, a grapple hook, and an evolutionary virus.
How to bypass biometric security scan
To bypass the biometric security scans, you need the third upgrade from the garage: the evolutionary virus.
This allows you to use your caravan’s scanner to hack the biometric security scanner and bypass their detection. That said, you won’t get this upgrade until Chapter 3, right after you unlock the grapple hook.
What to do with Cuddly Toys
As you explore Cigalo, you may find some cuddly sharks, teddies, and other stuffed toys on rooftops, cliffs, or other hard-to-reach areas.
You can bring these collectibles to Abricot’s bed in Estello Village. You can find her house by heading up the stairs next to the garage and taking a left on the second level.
