If you needed an excuse to spend more time in Pokémon Pokopia, it’s here! The first new expansion for the game, Bubbly Basin, has arrived. It adds a brand-new underwater area called Bubbly Basin, as well as a ton of new Pokemon to befriend. With those new Pokemon come new habitats to uncover, which means it’s going to take some time to welcome them all to your Pokemon paradise. That’s where our guide to every new Pokemon in the Bubbly Basin DLC comes in.
Bubbly Basin adds 50 new Pokemon to Pokemon Pokopia. Because the Bubbly Basin area is mostly underwater, the majority of the new additions are Water-type Pokemon. Of course, meeting all of them will mean building new, unique underwater habitats for each. And before all of that, you’ll need to learn Dive and find the Bubbly Basin area. So if you’re trying to fill that Pokopia dex, we’re here to help.

How to Find Manaphy in Pokémon Pokopia‘s Free 2.0 Update

The majority of the new Pokemon in Pokopia are part of the paid Expansion Pass. However, there’s one new, free arrival as part of the 2.0 update: Manaphy. This Pokemon teaches you how to learn Dive, so meeting it is essential for getting any of the other new Pokemon in the DLC.
Thankfully, the game guides you to finding Manaphy pretty quickly. The first time you log into Pokopia after installing the 2.0 update, you’ll get a pop-up suggesting you go talk to Professor Tangrowth in Bleak Beach. They’ll be outside the Pokemon Center there per usual. Talk to them, and they’ll ask you to go check out a mysterious new island nearby. Using Surf, go to the island, and you’ll find Manaphy there. Though it’s your first encounter with Manaphy, this doesn’t seem to add it to your Poédex.
Manaphy disappears after teaching you Dive, but you’ll be able to find it again in the Bubbly Basin DLC by progressing through the main story.
All New Bubbly Basin Pokémon in Pokopia and How to Find Them

Once you learn Dive from Manaphy, you’ll be able to start the new content from the Bubbly Basin DLC, so long as you’ve bought the Expansion Pass. After you first talk to Popplio, you will unlock the new Pokédex (Basin) menu where you’ll be able to collect info on your new friends. That’s where the real fun of meeting new Pokémon begins!
Here are all the Pokémon we’ve found in the Bubbly Basin so far, including how to find them and details for their habitats. They’re listed in alphabetical order to make it easier to find the one you’re searching for.
TIP: To make certain habitats, you’ll need to move coral and undersea plants around! You can move coral and seaweed using the Rototiller move just like you would move patches of flowers.
We’ll keep adding Pokemon and habitats as we find them while playing the Pokopia: Bubbly Basin DLC.
Still here? Good.
