Battlefield 6 Might Be One Of The Best Motocross Games Ever Made

At the time of writing, one of the best motocross games ever made is running inside of Battlefield 6. This is all part of the game’s second Red Bull collaboration, and I’m as shocked as you are to say I’m totally here for it.

Battlefield 6 had a Red Bull event right as Redsec was released. However, it was more of an excuse to reward players for silliness, such as launching golf carts over jumps on the golf course. The new current event is way more focused and shows off what a powerful engine the game is for customization.

Motocross Doesn’t Get Much Better Than The Red Bull Supermoto Gauntlet

Okay, so, quickly, what is this mode? It’s exactly what you think it is. This is a motocross game mode built within Battlefield 6. You race against other players not for the fastest lap, but for points earned by driving through checkpoints around each track.

It’s pretty simple, but missing one checkpoint can push you to the bottom of the leaderboard. That really doesn’t matter, though, since you’ve got a banging soundtrack straight out of any early 2000’s racing game, and precise motorbike driving that was already there in this title.

I simply didn’t think I’d love this mode half as much as I do. I’ve played a lot of motocross games and found it really difficult to fall in love with them, but this one just works. Battlefield 6 has fantastic vehicle mechanics by default and always has. That’s why translating them into an event that’s all about racing motorbikes wasn’t a stretch at all.

Any other military shooter would struggle with this kind of event, but it barely causes Battlefield 6 to break a sweat. It’s a testament to the game that the developers have built that it’s this versatile in its second season. Not only that, but it shows that anyone could come along and build a custom experience that would almost certainly work.

What tops this event off is even more Red Bull cosmetics to earn. This feels like an odd flex, but I’ve now got the most Red Bull-ified in-game profile I believe it’s possible to get. I’ve also got soldiers for every class kitted out with Red Bull gear, and I’m almost at the point where they’re fighting for an armed force sponsored by the energy drink.
