Earbuds are a tricky investment for hardcore audio appreciators. With less space to deliver sound than a headset, getting the balance of comfort, usability, and quality can be difficult. However, Sennheiser‘s Accentum True Wireless earbuds hit nearly every nail on the head, with audio that tops some of the most expensive options on the market for half the price.
Earbuds have evolved almost beyond recognition in recent years. From the muffled, wired tangle of the ’00s to the intelligent, sleek Bluetooth options of today, technology is changing rapidly. Becuase of this, doing it right is the key to becoming a listener’s constant companion.
The Sennheiser Accentum True Wireless earbuds are a delight for big music listeners. Rich bass, clear vocals, and rich tones make these earbuds a standout among the median-price options. Additionally, the Accentum’s ergonomic design makes it one of the most comfortable for long-term wear, especially when working out or doing some heavy listening.

Crystal Clear Sound

When I say the Sennheiser Accentum puts Sony to shame, I am not over-exaggerating. The Accentum delivers beautiful, crystal clear sound that doesn’t get tinny or lose vibrancy. The bass is rich and can be toggled for a more intense effect via the Sennheiser app.
While the app doesn’t have as many customization options as Audio-Technica’s, I found I preferred the simplicity. I didn’t become overwhelmed by the settings, and unlike many earbuds, the Accentum works so nicely out of the box that I didn’t feel the need to change everything around to make things sound decent.
Acoustic is the real winner with the Accentum True Wireless, as you can hear every guitar string pluck, and the beautiful vocal fidelity makes it so that you can hear the singer perfectly. I found myself going through my collection of live Vance Joy and Passengers albums just to appreciate how alive the music sounded.
As for gaming, I did hook these up to my PC and gave a few games a try. As with any earbuds designed for music, they fell a bit short on the complexity of gaming sounds. Footsteps were a bit murky, and the ambient music typically took center stage. They aren’t a bad option, but a proper headset might still be the way to go when jumping into a game.
Mic Settings & Noise Cancelling Are Just Okay

Earbuds are notoriously difficult for hands-free calling, but so often, they end up doing the job when people are out walking or driving. Unfortunately, the mic on the Accentum True Wireless just doesn’t isolate sound very well.
When testing this mic in my house, my child’s banshee shrieks were easily heard by the person on the other line, and walking in the wind made conversation nearly impossible.
That said, the audio received is clear and crisp. I never had issues hearing the person from my side of the call.
The other shortcoming of the Accentum True Wireless is noise isolation. While it has Hybrid ANC, I did find that noise from the local gym leaked through. Including the weight lifters yelling very loudly about their sets. While I don’t mind this so much, those looking for a complete wall between them and the world while they are listening might struggle with breakthrough noise.
Ergonomic Fit Solves Ear Pain
The best quality of the Accentum True Wireless, outside of the stunning audio quality, is the fit. I have never worn earbuds so comfortable. I can keep them in for hours and hours without any part of my ears getting sore.
This is a feat, as I have the weirdest, narrow ears. Earbuds are usually a struggle because they just don’t sit correctly for me.
I didn’t have any of these issues with the Accentum. In fact, they were so comfortable I accidentally fell asleep with them in more than once, and then had to fish them out of my bed the next morning in a panic.
The ergonomic design of the Accentum True Wireless has created a lightweight, gentle fit that sits nicely in the ear without any pressure or discomfort. The earbuds also come with several cushion sizes, and the Sennheiser app encourages you to pick the set that fits best for an optimal experience.
The fit alone, alongside the audio fidelity, catapulted these into my top-favorite earbud slot.
Final Score – 8.5/10
The Sennheiser Accentum True Wireless earbuds are a music listener’s perfect partner. With a fit made for long listening, battery life to spare, and clear sound, they are a must-have. For the price, they are a bargain and an investment more than worth making.
If you do a lot of phone calls or are looking for complete noise canceling, these might not be the best fit, but I would say they are still worth getting just for listening outside of work.
